The soft morning light filtered through the curtains of Mono's room, casting a golden hue over the scattered pillows, blankets, and remnants of snacks from the night before. Everything was quiet except for the faint rustling of the sheets as Mono stirred, blinking groggily into the daylight.

He yawned, stretching out his arms and blinking a few times to shake off the remnants of sleep. His room was a mess—pillows thrown around, an empty bowl of chips on the floor, and Six lying next to him, completely wrapped up in the blanket like a burrito. Her hood was off, her dark hair tousled in all directions, and she was snoring softly, completely oblivious to the morning sun.

Mono sat up slowly, glancing over at her with a fond smile. "Morning," he mumbled, though he wasn't really expecting a response.

Six didn't move, her face buried in the pillow as she stayed cocooned in the blanket. He chuckled softly, knowing she wasn't a morning person. If anything, she looked even smaller wrapped up like that, her face barely visible under the layers of blanket.

With a mischievous grin, Mono leaned over and lightly tugged at the edge of the blanket. "Hey, sleepyhead," he teased. "You're gonna miss breakfast."

Six groaned, burying her face deeper into the pillow. "Go away," she muttered, her voice muffled and groggy.

Mono, undeterred, gave the blanket another playful tug. "C'mon, it's already morning. You can't sleep all day."

Six finally lifted her head, squinting at him through messy bangs. "Watch me," she grumbled, her voice still raspy from sleep.

He laughed, pulling the blanket a little more, until she finally relented, sitting up with a huff. Her hair was a total mess, and she rubbed her eyes, blinking groggily at the sunlight streaming into the room.

"Ugh. I hate mornings," she muttered, shooting him a half-hearted glare. But there was a hint of playfulness behind her tired expression, like she knew this was just part of their usual back-and-forth.

Mono chuckled. "I know. But we've got stuff to do. Like eating. I'm starving."

Six stretched, her joints popping as she let out a long sigh. "Fine, but I'm not doing anything until I have food," she said, her voice still laced with sleepy defiance.

"Deal," Mono said, hopping out of bed and padding toward the kitchen, his tall frame a contrast to her still-groggy posture. "I'll make something. Or, you know... find something."

Six eventually shuffled out of bed, dragging the blanket behind her like a cape as she followed him to the kitchen. Her eyes were still half-closed, and she slumped into one of the chairs at the table, watching as Mono rummaged through the fridge.

"What do you want? We've got eggs, toast, cereal..." he listed off, glancing over his shoulder at her.

Six scrunched up her nose. "Cereal. Less work."

"Lazy," Mono teased, but he poured two bowls of cereal anyway, plopping them down on the table. He joined her, slouching in the chair opposite her and immediately digging into his bowl.

They ate in comfortable silence for a few minutes, both still shaking off the morning grogginess. The only sounds were the soft clinks of their spoons against the bowls and the occasional yawn from Six.

After a while, Mono glanced at her with a raised eyebrow. "So... what's the plan for today?"

Six shrugged, still half-asleep. "Dunno. Maybe we could..." She trailed off, clearly not awake enough to think that far ahead.

Mono grinned. "Maybe we could try not to nap for the rest of the day?"

Six shot him a half-hearted glare but couldn't help a small smirk tugging at the corner of her mouth. "Speak for yourself, beanpole."

"Beanpole? Really?" he asked, leaning back in his chair with an amused grin. "You can't come up with anything better?"

Six stuck her tongue out at him before taking another bite of her cereal. "I'm too tired for clever insults."

He chuckled, shaking his head. "Fair enough."

They spent the rest of breakfast in a slow, easy pace, both of them savoring the rare feeling of not having to rush off anywhere. Mono wasn't used to mornings like this—quiet, peaceful, and without anyone telling him what to do. And as much as Six pretended to hate mornings, Mono could tell she was secretly enjoying the calm too, even if she'd never admit it.

When they finally finished their cereal, Six pushed her bowl away and leaned back in her chair, sighing contentedly. "Okay, so now what?"

Mono stood up, stretching his long limbs again. "How about we get dressed, maybe go outside for a bit? If you don't fall back asleep first."

Six gave him a look, though there was no real heat behind it. "You're so annoying in the morning."

"And you're grumpy. It balances out," he shot back with a grin, dodging a playful swat from her as he grabbed the empty bowls and headed to the sink.

After they both got dressed and brushed their teeth, they met back in the living room, where Mono lazily sprawled across the couch while Six perched herself on the armrest, staring out the window.

"Wanna go to the park or something?" Mono asked, glancing up at her. "Or we could just chill here all day."

Six tilted her head thoughtfully. "Park sounds fine. Let's move before I start hating you for waking me up so early."

Mono chuckled and stood up, reaching for his shoes. "Alright, park it is."
