The following week, the campus was abuzz with excitement over the upcoming annual debate competition. It was one of the most prestigious events at Seoul University, and students from all departments participated. Taesan, known for his sharp wit and eloquence, was a favorite to win.

Taesan was in the auditorium, preparing his notes for the debate, when he heard a familiar voice behind him.

"Well, well, well. If it isn't the lone wolf himself," Leehan said, his tone dripping with sarcasm.

Taesan turned to see Leehan leaning against the doorway, a smug smile on his face. "What do you want?" Taesan asked, his patience already wearing thin.

Leehan sauntered over, his eyes gleaming with mischief. "Just wanted to wish you luck. You're going to need it."

Taesan narrowed his eyes. "And why's that?"

Leehan's smile widened. "Because I'm your opponent."

Taesan's heart sank. Of all the people he could have faced, it had to be Leehan. "Great," he muttered under his breath.

The auditorium filled with students as the debate began. Taesan and Leehan stood on opposite sides of the stage, their eyes locked in a silent battle. The topic was announced, and the debate commenced.

Taesan started strong, his arguments precise and compelling. But Leehan was no slouch either. He countered Taesan's points with ease, his charisma winning over the audience. The tension between them was palpable, each trying to outdo the other.

As the debate progressed, Taesan felt his frustration growing. Leehan was not only matching him point for point but also managing to get under his skin with his smug remarks and confident demeanor.

"Your argument is flawed," Leehan said, his voice calm and collected. "You're missing the bigger picture."

Taesan clenched his fists. "And what would you know about the bigger picture? You're too busy playing the campus heartthrob to understand anything of substance."

The audience gasped, and Leehan's eyes flashed with anger. "At least I don't hide behind a facade of arrogance to cover up my insecurities."

Taesan's face reddened. "You don't know anything about me."

"And you don't know anything about me," Leehan shot back. "But that doesn't stop you from making assumptions, does it?"

The debate ended in a draw, but the animosity between Taesan and Leehan was far from over. As they left the stage, Taesan couldn't shake the feeling that this rivalry was only just beginning.

The next day, Taesan was in the cafeteria, trying to enjoy a quiet lunch when Leehan walked in with his entourage. They spotted Taesan and made their way over, much to his dismay.

"Mind if we join you?" Leehan asked, not waiting for an answer as he sat down across from Taesan.

Taesan glared at him. "Actually, I do mind."

Leehan ignored him and started chatting with his friends, completely disregarding Taesan's presence. Taesan tried to focus on his food, but Leehan's loud laughter and constant chatter were impossible to ignore.

"Do you always have to be the center of attention?" Taesan snapped, unable to contain his irritation any longer.

Leehan looked at him, feigning innocence. "Oh, I'm sorry. Did we disturb your precious solitude?"

Taesan stood up, his chair scraping loudly against the floor. "You know what? Forget it. Enjoy your lunch."

As he walked away, he could hear Leehan's friends laughing, and it only fueled his anger. He couldn't understand why Leehan seemed to take such pleasure in tormenting him.

But as much as he hated to admit it, there was something about Leehan that intrigued him. Beneath the bravado and charm, Taesan sensed a complexity that he couldn't quite put his finger on. And despite his best efforts to ignore it, he found himself drawn to the mystery that was Leehan.
