Chapter 2:

Jules "I know what you said, I heard it clear as day", Mika "it's like I wanna be in a relationship with you but my sister's treatment is holding me back. And I don't know why, because you're right in front of me and you also want a relationship, and by me telling you no. I'm just hurting you", Jules "I don't care that you are hurting me, I don't", Mika "just shut up and kiss me".

Jules "are you leaving Grey Sloan", Mika "I don't wanna leave, I'm almost done as an intern and then I'll be out there with you performing surgeries after surgeries, I mean it's what we worked so hard for, I don't wanna give it up. But how am I supposed to balance my sister's cancer treatments along with finishing up as an intern without getting stressed, without calling out. I'm so worried", Jules "remember we already took the rest of your shifts for the week so you can go and enjoy some time with your sister. The first thing not to do is be so hard on yourself, you didn't cause this to happen and I know that it's bothering you so much because she's so young and she's beginning to live her life but none of this was caused by you. The second thing we need to do is keep our relationship outside of work, if we are kissing here or doing something here it could cause us to get easily distracted. Don't get me wrong I love kissing you and I love the way you look at me but we gotta focus and give our all when we are performing a surgery or checking in on a patient because their lives are in our hands, and we don't get to screw that up. If we make mistakes, people what", Mika "people die", Jules "exactly, if people die we can get fired and we don't want that to ever happen", Mika "I know", Jules "I know that because of your sister starting her cancer treatment that you don't want to be in a relationship because you don't want to take your eyes off of her, but what if she wants you to also be able to live your life, yes you can be there for her too as much as you need to but what if you can still live your life to the fullest", Mika "so you're saying that we should start a relationship despite me wanting to be focused on my sister", Jules "we don't have to spend every night together, we don't have to live together, this is new for the both of us but I would be heartbroken if I didn't pursue what me and you have. What if we get married someday, or have kids someday? What if it doesn't happen because we didn't give us a shot at being a couple? I know that your main concern is your sister, and getting her better, and I'm all on board with that for you, I'm here for you and me and the other interns, your friends will help you but I still think that you deserve some sort of happiness for yourself. Even if it's happiness that you could come back home to, let's say you've been in the hospital all day with your sister and the one thing you've been wanting to do is lay down and get some rest or even take a nice shower. I'll be at home waiting for you, so that way you don't have to be alone, if you ever have to cry, my arms are the arms that I want you to be in, I don't know if I'm saying too much but if I am I apologize".

Mika "Jules, all of those words, you have a way with words. Everything that you just said that deeply touched me, I loved everything that you said. I'm so grateful for you, for every moment we've had so far and for every moment that's to come for us. Jules I wanna give this a shot, a real shot. I want us to be a couple, despite everything I previously said about just needing a friend, I want you to be more than my friend, I want you to the the person that I can count on, the person I get to make endless memories with, the person that I get to laugh with and go home too. I want you to be my person, you are everything I've ever wanted in a relationship, you're kind, you're sweet, you have a way with words, you're determined, you're ambitious, you're adventurous and you're just the most beautiful person I've ever met. Screw everything that I previously said days before, I want to be with you. I want to come home to you, I want to go home with you. Jules are you on the same page with me, do you wanna give us a real chance as much as I do", Jules "yes, I want nothing more than that", the two of them pressed their lips against each other's, Jules "does your sister have any treatment today", Mika "no, she's still recovering from the surgery", Jules "take me to your place", she uttered in her ears, the two of them grabbed their things and left. Once back the house, Simone and Lucas were all almost there, and their ears were flooded with moans coming from both Jules and Mika, who were in the other room keeping themselves busy. Lucas "oh my gosh if those two do not stop any time soon, I am seriously going to lose my mind", Simone "I mean is it really bothering you, we do the same thing all the time, more than the two of them", Lucas "it's different when we are doing it, we can't exactly hear ourselves, and now we have to listen to the two of them and I'm pretty sure they are gonna be at it all night long. I mean I wouldn't be surprised", Simone "I think we should just let them be. They are clearly in love and I think we should be happy for them", Lucas "I'll be happy when there's peace and quiet lol", Simone "let's go my room and watch something. Maybe the noise can block out their loudness", Lucas "I hope so". Mika "that was so perfect, you are so perfect", she said kissing Jules, Jules "that was a dream come true and I'm glad we waited. It was more than perfect", she said kissing Mika back. Mika "so we are really doing this? I wanna give us a real chance", Jules "me too", Mika "is there any boundaries for us starting as a couple", Jules "I mean we already spoke about the work boundaries. We are interns and doctors, but at home and outside of the hospital we are deeply in love", Mika "can you be with me whenever my sister has treatment for her cancer. I don't think I could be alone", Jules "of course, I'll be here every step of the way, for the both of you", the two of them kissed once more. Jules yawned, Mika "you're getting tired", Jules "we had a long day at work and Bailey has been on our asses and it's not the most fun", Mika "I get you on that one. She has been on all of us but that's only because she wants the best for us and she wants us to be the best doctors that we can possibly be", Jules "yeah, we are learning from the best of the best. So we just have to go with it, we are almost finished as interns, and soon we'll be looking to celebrate as we go from interns to actual doctors in the field", Mika "yeah", Jules "let's get to sleep. I really wanna enjoy the weekend", Mika "okay", the two of them kissed. Mika "goodnight beautiful", Jules "goodnight my sweets".
