(GOV: the first draft decided to have an error and wouldn't save so heres z remade version.)

(A/N: oh.)

187 115mm shells had been fired by the 20 modified M3 Priests over the course of eight minutes, the result was, eight wall segments and twenty eight towers being brought down.

She wondered why the defenders kept calm, that was never a good sign and meant a likely trap....

....or reinforcements.

6 mosquito fighter variants alongside 2 bomber variants began taxiing onto the runways in the background while the M3 Priests ceased firing, as the barrels had begun overheating, and Emily wasn't going to take any chances, so she really needed her artillery to remain ready at peak condition.

"Lady Emily." Captain Bobby was also here...although she doesn't know why they kept addressing her as 'lady', she could abuse that to make the enemy and anyone she talks to think she is a royal.

People tend to respect royalty more in fear of getting executed, right? So if she encounters any reincarnate- shes ranting again, damn it Emily get your focus together.

"Yes?"

"It would appear that the enemy is not retreating, likely to delay our infantry and lighter vehicles. It is also likely that they are fortifying the places beyond the walls and using civilian housing as cover, seeing as our artillery rarely hits any."

"...tell the artillery to load white phosphorous shell's and prepare to fire two volleys at civilian houses."

"By your will, Lady Emily."

Looks like she has decided to be a villain with very minor morals, but this citys garrison should've known better than to use such tactics...well, she didn't know if they did, but they might've, its better to be safe than dead.

...shes starting to sound like a certain anime skeleton, oh well.

Eight fireflys drove out of the forest slightly, using the longer 76mm cannons...or was it 7.6 pounder? Shes not good at British stuff, anyway; using the longer 76mm cannons, the eight firefly shermans began firing smoke shell's at the openings and two remaining tower's....said tower's were already damaged so they accidentally destroyed those two.

One crocodile churchill alongside three normal churchill's then moved past the fireflys, with the british riflemen using the churchill's, not the crocodile, as cover.

Two normal churchill's had loaded HE, expecting mostly infantry resistance, while a third loaded AP just incase, after all, the crocodile churchill would be the one mainly engaging enemy infantry if the riflemen weren't.

It also helped that having cannons meant the enemy cant just barricade themselves inside a secondary wall.

Two mosquitos flew past the churchill and dropped 2000 pound bombs, which detonated inside what seemed to be a palace, which meant it probably had guards, which meant they had a target for the planes.

The six mosquito's with the quad 20mm's on the nose also kindly asked two wyverns to leave by leaving giant holes in the heads, and then strafed the areas the four churchill's were about to arrive at to provide some nice air support.

"If those pilots up there keep this up, we'll barely have anything to kill!" One of the tank commanders joked about the planes doing so well, they decided to strafe the ground enemies.

"Thomas, keep those eyes alert. We dont know if they'll use that magic again. For all we know a single spell has the strength of one of jerries king tigers." He did have a good point.

Emily couldn't be more disappointed, did she kill all the wizards on that first battle? Or did the artillery get them? Anyways, back to the grunts.

"Oh come on Henry, you really think they'll have something that strong?"

Not even five seconds later, two 55mm shells made out of stone slammed into the lead churchill's front armor, the return fire was....literal fire, as in, the crocodile churchill aimed up, and launched fire over the lead churchill, doing indirect fire damage to the two mages that decided to be idiots.

Where was the infantry? Doing the most painful and long job ever; clearing every single house, checking if the people are actually civilians, and then doing it all over again.

"Thomas, you should've kept your mouth shut. They are using magic to copy our weapons." He had a good point.

"Alright lads, looks like we're stopping here." The four tanks formed a wide line, not being forced to do a single file line, as they got to an area of open ground...and a gate.

"Looks like they got some serious stuff in this gate compared to the other, i dont think our smaller guns will be able to make a large dent. Can you see if we can get one of those fireflys providing overwatch in here?"

"Yes, sir."

(GOV: i am evil, cliffhanger before seeing what's beyond the gate.)

(A/N: you mentioned a palace, the gate leads to the palace.)

(GOV: yeah.)
