What the fuck is his problem? All of the sudden, we both yelling on the phone I guess that's all it takes to turn some enemies into bros
Sara
Sara waited until she was certain Oliver had fallen back asleep and then a little longer until she was sure her moving off the bed would not wake him. He needed his rest and sleep more than ever. His body needed the time to heal. She quietly walked towards the bedroom door but stopped and looked back at Oliver before leaving.
Her head was spinning from everything he'd told her. All the new information they now had about Adrian, and Ruvé and Damien. It was important, more than that crucial even if it doesn't bring them any closer to learning Ruvé's endgame and taking Adrian off the streets. But the knowledge that Adrian Chase is Damien and Ruvé's son changes everything. And not in a good way. But it was good they knew, because understanding that detail, that missing piece changed everything. It gave them an advantage; it finally made them understand his actions.
What still confused her though was the fact that Adrian had sought out Talia for training two years ago, they'd only killed Damien less than a year ago. So, why would Damien Darhk's son purposely look for Talia, his father's rival's daughter and pretend to be someone who he is not and want revenge on the same person who had killed her father. Claiming he had killed his as well? It was obvious now that he'd used that rouse to get her sympathy, maybe even have her lower her defenses and trust him more easily because they both wanted the same thing. Retaliation against Ollie for what he had done. But Talia couldn't or wouldn't let herself do it, because it went against Ra's teachings. It went against everything her father believed in. Ra's did not believe in acts as selfish as seeking revenge, he didn't stand for it, and he condemned it. There were no individuals in the League, the I no longer counted, it was all about the we and the greater good. Talia knew that, understood that it was one of Ra's main teachings. Going against his believes, giving in to her selfish desires would dishonor his memory.
But Adrian gave her an out, gave her a way to stay true to her father's beliefs, a way for her to not have to lower herself to an action as selfish and undeserving of the teachings of Ra's as retaliation and yet still have them brought against the man who killed her father. By teaching Adrian, by using Adrian, by giving him the knowledge and skill he'd need to go up against Ollie.
But why, why would Adrian use a rouse like that to learn about Ollie? Why had Damien felt the need to have his son fool Talia to learn more about Ollie? Two years ago, two years ago Ra's was grooming Ollie to become the new Ra's. Was that why? Was Damien trying to cover all of his bases in case Ollie would end up taking over the League? Was he simply trying to learn everything he could about the person who might end up in control of an organization as powerful and important as the League? Or was there more to it? But no, Talia had told Oliver that he'd already killed Ra's by the time Adrian sought her out. So, it hadn't been two years ago, it had only been one, one and a half years ago. So why? Had Damien sent Adrian to learn more about Ollie because the Green Arrow was an enemy potent enough that he felt the need to cover all of his bases? Why had he sent his son, his very well-trained son away on a seemingly pointless mission that took him away for more than a year when he could've been here, helping them outsmart and get rid of the Green Arrow. It made little sense to her. Unless, unless Damien had assumed Talia and her order would fill the hole the League's disbandment left. And he wanted someone inside. That would make sense, and once he realized he called him back... no, no. Adrian only showed up on the scene after Ollie and she got back from their travels.
