Behind The Scenes 1/?

A/N: I needed a separate google doc to list all the characters for this one. The list will hopefully narrow down a bit as the story progresses so let me know which characters you like or want to see more of.

"This is a horrible idea." You complained to one of your coworkers. You were a freelance videographer and had been hired by an upcoming reality TV show, 'Living Down'. The premise was they got a bunch of nepo-babies, shoved them in a house together with none of the help they were used to and watched as they struggled to go about their daily lives without things like chefs or maids. 

You were just supposed to be behind the camera, doing confessionals and stuff. However, now that you were waiting for the shoot to start, they just informed you that you would also be on babysitting duty. Basically, you weren't directly allowed to help them but you also had to make sure they didn't burn the place down doing something stupid like microwaving metal.

Your coworker, Megan, who was on hair and makeup for the initial contestant introduction just snorted. The two of you had known each other for a while, usually being hired for the same projects. It was sad that after today she would be leaving the set, but being honest she could definitely find a better paying job elsewhere. 

The producers were paying you okay, a bit less than your normal rate but you had been desperate when you accepted the job. At least you would have enough to only eat dollar store ramen most nights this week instead of every night. On top of that you should be able to make your next two months of rent payments on time! 

"You've got that right. I bet those people don't even know how to use a stove, much less cook anything." She said, touching up her own makeup. You just groaned, dreading the next few hours of doing confessionals and glorified babysitting. Luckily the house had security cameras and the guest stars would be given their own go pros at a certain point. Your job was just to record big scenes and make sure the confessional camera was on when someone wanted to use it.

"Honestly, you'd think they'd be paying more but I guess all their budget is being taken up booking some of the biggest 'rich kids' they can. This is gonna be such a pain." You said, fidgeting with your camera.

"L/N! Get the cameras set up! Darcy, we need you to work on Ms.Kemp! Star room 4!" One of the producers yelled. Megan groaned, grabbing the makeup bag reserved for work as she put her personal products away.

"See you on the flip-side Y/N. Try and eat something that isn't mostly preservative today, 'kay?"

"I will when I get paid a decent amount." You said back as the both of you split up to go do your jobs.

"This is gonna be a pain to edit." You murmured to one of the other cameramen. He nodded as you filmed the stars exiting their fancy sports cars from five or six different angles. At least the audio would be completely replaced later. Probably some sort of upbeat music while the stars talked about themselves, which was the next thing you would be filming. 

"Action!" Someone yelled before a black McLaren pulled up in front of the house. You zoomed in as Adonis Pate stepped from the car, getting a good face shot. After a signal he posed for the cameras, resting a hand on the open car door as he stared up at the house.

"Cut!" You stopped recording, groaning as you released some of the tension in your shoulders. You could get a near perfect still shot without a mounted camera, but it still was a pain to do. "Alright, now for introductions! Hammer, you'll be in Star Room 1. L/N, Star Room 2! Flores-!"

You just sighed, walking away to the assigned room. You arrived just in time to see the makeup team leave looking rather peeved. One of them pulled you aside as you were about to knock.

"Word of warning, she is one of the most stuck up people I have ever had the displeasure of meeting. Good luck." She hissed before walking away. The pit in your stomach sank deeper but you just steeled yourself before knocking.

"What do you want?!" A voice asked, rather rudely.

"Ms.Kemp I'm here to film your introduction." You said. It took a minute before the door swung open. You knew Aviana Kemp from magazine covers and similar photo shoots and it was safe to say she was just as beautiful in person. However you could tell from the way she was sizing you up she was a cold and distant person. "My name is Y/N L/N and I'll be filming you today."

"Fine. Come in, but make it quick." She said, turning back into the room. You followed after her, setting up the camera on a preprepared tripod. She messed with her hair a little before staring at you as you set up. It was a little intimidating. Okay, very intimidating. "Alright, Ms. Kemp. I'm ready when you are."

Star Room 1
"My name is Luka Watson. I'm 20 years old and an actor. My mom, Daniella Watson is also a famous actress known for her role in a lot of popular horror movies. Personally, I don't think this challenge will be too hard. I know how to survive, definitely better than my competitors do."

"Mr.Watson what compelled you to apply to join 'Living Down'?"

"That's simple." He grinned at the camera, shaggy blond bangs falling away from his eyes. "I like competition and I like to win."

Star Room 2
"My name is Aviana Kemp. I'm 21 years old. My papa is a chef and my mama is a model. I have been modeling since I was a kid and I've been invited to almost every red carpet event you can think of."

"Ms.Kemp, why did you join 'Living Down'?"

"My mom wanted me to be more well rounded and try out being in a TV show." She muttered, playing with her hair.

Star Room 3
"My name is Adonis Pate. I'm 20 years old and a full time college student at the University of California. My parents met on a reality TV show and gained traction, eventually becoming internet celebrities."

"Mr.Pate, why did you join 'Living Down'?"

"Because unlike everyone else here, I was raised to be self sufficient. I'm going to win and I'm going to rub it in Luka Watson's face!" Adonis smirked, brown eyes shining with competitiveness.

Star Room 4
"Hi everybody! My name is Cynthia Miller and I'm 20 years old! I'm a full time actress and my dads are famous artists!"

"Why did you enter 'Living Down', Ms.Miller?"

"Aw, just call me Cynthia!" She giggled. "I thought it would be a fun place to make new friends! Besides, I'm sure we'll all have a great time together!"

Star Room 5
"I'm Princeton Hamilton, Prince is fine. I'm 21 years old and I'm the lead singer in the band, Charisma. My mom was also a singer and she built her way up from nothing so I have some experience."

"Mr.Hamilton, why join 'Living Down'?"

"I heard Adonis was doing it and wanted to see what it was like. Plus, it doesn't seem super hard, I mean it's just living in a house together, right?"

"My name is Juniper Fox. I'm 21 years old and I'm an influencer. My mom was an actress and my dad is a stunt man. He does a lot of famous movies."

"Ms.Fox why-?"

"Why did I join? Because I'm going to beat Aviana Kemp if it's the last thing I do."
