A/N: Sorry it's been a month! I've been going through my usual depressive episode before finals time (here to winter break) and have also been dealing with turning in my early decision application, the entire election and school as a whole (AP Bio is killing my average). Anyways, to make up for it enjoy a longer chapter while I try to get back into the swing of things. Happy late Thanksgiving to all my American readers!
ALSO VERY IMPORTANT there is a question at the end of the chapter that will decide the fate of the rest of the plot. Please comment something because the character with the most votes will be removed.

"So what happened?" A voice asked from behind the camera. Luka Watson was stretched out on the couch as if he owned the place, a charming grin on his face."Why, that's simple. Someone almost burnt the house down." He answered. "Honestly, you think they'd know better than to try and make us work together to cook something. Of course a fire started. We're just lucky it had been anticipated."
"Yeah... you could say that again..."

You had been filming the first challenge of the season, a cooking challenge. The contestants would be paired off into groups of two and each group would be responsible for making one meal for everyone. The mean of choice would have to be drawn out of a hat and pairs were picked at random.
At the moment you were busy watching Juniper and Prince bicker while they made pancakes. Their side dish was cut up fruit and homemade whipped cream. Both of them already had some cooking experience and the shared kitchen smelled like a mix of batter, whipped cream and fresh fruit. You were on standby, just in case, with a fire extinguisher incase anything happened.
"I already told you, the pan isn't hot enough yet." Prince said, taking the bowl of batter from Juniper's hands.
"Yes it is! I know how to make pancakes!" She said, trying to wrestle the bowl back. Prince looked ready to fight her when he caught your eye. You just shrugged before subtly signaling him to try and move their bickering away from the lit stove and hot pan.
Instead he rolled his eyes, letting her take the bowl as he walked over to the counter to slice up some of the fruit. You just silently sighed, not wanting to use the fire extinguisher at all if you didn't have to.

"What-?""I can't believe people don't know that you don't pour water on a grease fire! Honestly, I think I lost 15 years of my life!" Juniper said, sounding truly aghast. "I don't cook a lot, the only things I can actually make well are pancakes and eggs, but even I know that!"
"It... wasn't the smartest thing to do..."

The pancakes turned out well, even if Prince grumbled that his were better. The contestants seemed to be tolerating each other, but some clear divides were starting to form. Prince and Adonis seemed to be standing with their plates by the door, talking to each other. Luka was busy chatting with Juniper while she added a mound of cut strawberries on top of her pancakes. Cynthia was talking at Aviana more than she seemed to be talking with Aviana.
You were just sitting on your chair, making sure to get a good shot when Juniper suddenly looked over at you. She whispered something to Luka before getting up and grabbing a plate from the cupboard and putting two of the extra pancakes on it as well as a little syrup. Once that was done she carried the plate over to you.
