~Alicent~

I quickly finish cleaning the rooms I used, knowing Johnny is up by the front desk and waiting for me. I promised I wouldn't make us late, and I intend to keep the promise.

As I finish, I throw the cleaning supplies back in the cabinet, then spin towards the door. I stop suddenly as I almost bump into Jennifer.

"Oh! Sorry!" I say lightly, smiling and she smiles back, waving it off. "No worries. Soap is here for you."

"Yeah I know, we have a team meeting tonight," I explain. She smiles at this, "oh, cool. Um, are you guys... like.. dating?"

My face goes red, and I shake my head, "oh no we are just good friends," I say, laughing slightly.

She smiles wider. "Could you maybe put in a good word for me? I always try to talk to him when he comes by, but he's always so busy. So I thought if maybe.."

My heart pounds, my chest tightening, and a surge of jealousy courses through me. I fight it down, knowing what I said is true.

Me and Johnny are just friends.

And him being on my team means he's off limits, no matter how sweet, attentive, and hot as fuck he may be.

"Sure," I force out with a smile. She smiles wider, thanking me over and over. "I really gotta go now.." I say, motioning towards the door. "Of course!" She says dramatically, moving out of the way then following me out.

I hold back a sigh, and instead smile as my gaze meets Johnny's.

He smiles widely as he sees me, it's like he doesn't notice the girl behind me who has crazy eyes for him. "Hey, Doll. Have a good day?" He greets, not caring the girl behind me is looking and blushing at him.

"It's was a bit hectic," I say honestly. He grins, holding out his elbow for me, then leading us towards the door as I take it.

"Bye Alicent. Byee Soap!" Jennifer calls behind us. I spare her a glance and a wave, Johnny throwing a short wave over his shoulder, before holding the door and smiling towards me.

"She's been extra talkative recently, who is she again?" He asks as we leave the infirmary, my gut twisting as I know what needs to be said.

"That's Jennifer. She likes you." I tell him.

He furrows his brows and looks down towards me quickly. "You sure? She might just be friendly since me and you are-"

"Yeah, she told me." I say flatly, fighting down any bits of jealousy threatening to plague my emotions. "She's a good person, you'd like her I think."

He falls quiet, glancing over his shoulder as if she'd appear. I take a deep breath, smiling up at him. "She's pretty too."

He looks back towards me, his face flushed ever so sligntly as he studies my face. "And yer not lying? She said that?"

And that's when I know he too has a crush.

"Yep, told me just before I met you."

He hums, pulling his gaze straight ahead as we walk. It isn't long before we enter the office, the others just arriving. I release Johnny's arm and go greet my father, then turn and take a seat at the table besides Rudy.

Alejandro is beside him, Johnny on his others side. "And you're not even late," Rudy teases. I smile glancing towards him, "I told you I wouldn't be."

"Ah, but the infirmary is a tricky place. Easy to get caught up in new cases."

I nod, his words more than true. "I was lucky today."

He laughs softly, and soon the room falls quiet as my dad clears his throat, and starts the meeting.
