Scarlett's POV
I elegantly entered into Landon's room after adjusting my skirt to be much more shorter than it already is. Landon called me and it's a great honor.
"You called for me Landon" I said with a flirtatious smile. He was standing by his window like always and he's so damn cute....
"Sit" his voice rang in my ears, much colder than an Arctic causing me to shiver slightly. After coming out from my brief shock, a smile stretched across my lips and I did as he said, I sat down.
He then turned to me and I quivered a bit, my eyes were glued to his face. I really can't wait for him to be mine, I've waited for years and I feel like the time is closer than ever.
"You know the new girl right?" his question came like a siren to my ears causing me to be drawn out of my fantasy world.
"W-Which g-girl?" I stuttered unsure of what he was trying to imply.
"Scarlett don't try to act dumb with me" he rasped, his voice was dangerously low and I flinched in fear. I already knew the person he was talking about but I refuse to call her name.
There's no way she's the one he's referring to. No, she of all people? That obdurate bitch? Never!
"The beamer" he finally said with his eyes staring deep into my soul. I began to hyperventilate in fear, what about her now?
"Yes I know her" my voice was inflicted with seething anger.
"Whatever you have in mind against her, I suggest you wave it off your head because if anything happens to her, you won't like what I would do to you. Now get out!" he ordered and I felt like time stopped
I was rooted to the sofa with a disbelieving gaze fixed on him. I was unable to fathom everything he was talking about. I couldn't help the pain that resurged within me.
"You wouldn't like me to repeat myself" he glared at me and I stood up in shaky legs as I bent my head over feeling my heart shattered into multiple pieces. Still it's all because of that bitch! Soon tears started welling up in my eyes, I just couldn't take it.
Olympia's POV
"Well they are like the enemies of the Shiverals and humans and they're called The Underworlds. If they were allowed into this world they would make humans their slaves. We the Shiverals fill in the gap of protecting humans and fighting away the Underworlds. And we also do go on missions outside the institute when the King finds out a demon has entered Earth" Lindy explained and I gaped
The Underworlds were also known as Demons? Like real demons?! Fighting demons, how is that even fair to the hearing.
"You mean real missions to kill real demons?" I shivered in fright.
"Yes but that's only when Landon senses a demon around Earth. You see Landon is the strongest of us all, he's a multi-shiveral with known powers like Power Stripping, the power to temporarily or permanently take away another beings magical powers so they won't have access to them" I totally lost my tongue then she continues
"Also Pyrokinesis, the power to create, control and manipulate fire. Venom Secretion, a power that allows the user to secrete a venom capable of incapacitating a person. Touch of Death, the power to kill living beings instantly by transferring a powerful demonic virus through physical contact that's why you shouldn't mess with him"
"That's the only powers we know him to have though he has a lot of it. Also take note that Landon is the only Shiveral to have the power of Touch of death, all mages possesses it that's the main reason when fighting a Mage, you fight with a sword".
