Olympia's POV

The sun found its way from horizon to the summit of sky pierced it's lucid sunlight to my face as an eerie glow formed, my eyes squinted.

The birds were soaring high with so much zeal and zeal that could bring courage to even a derelict for the search of betterment in his life.

But my life isn't great at all, my powers have just been stripped away from me and I feel like some empty vessel with no purpose in life.

I laid out a heave of breath and tried to stand up with my eyes closed, but it felt like I was embedded on my bed. I couldn't move an inch and my whole body itches like I'm being tied up in a forest.

I cracked my eyes open only to find myself being aggressively wrapped around by thorn leaves and roots. The grasses and roots were speedily growing towards me from the window.

I tried to shout but my voice was lost in my throat. I was paralyzed with my heart pounding really loud. A root swiftly wrapped around my neck as its thorns pierced into my throat.

I groaned in pain making a guttural cry. The leaves now looked thread-like and moving like snakes. If this is how I'm going to die then it's the most torturing way.

"Somebody help me!" I finally laid out a cry. My lungs ached, hot blood were now dripping down my neck as the thorns pierced even deeper into my throat.

The root against my throat were surely going to kill me, especially now that I no longer have my powers. Just then I found myself wishing for the King to just have pity on me and give me back my powers.

Somehow I found myself blaming him, if not for him and his cruel nature, this leaves and roots wouldn't have stayed a second wrapping me up.

Suddenly, I heard footsteps and gasps coming from some people. I navigated my eyes towards the door to see my calm roommate, Piper and Lindy, they all wore terrified faces as they gazed at me.

l could barely see in front with the amount of tears I was shedding. But seeing them, my heart tore apart between hope and pain.

"It's Scarlett" I heard Lindy's voice. She seemed to be fuming but I was too bleary-eyed to see clearly.

"We need to save her" I also heard Piper say ruefully

"Olympia try teleporting" Lindy suggested. Her voice conveying the worry she had for me. Only if she knew I had no powers anymore, I'm as good as a weak human.

My eyes darted to my calm roommate, she walked straight to her sofa and opened her wardrobe. She groped for something and finally pulled out her arm. Right there she held a container containing green liquid.

She progressed towards me, a drop of the green liquid landed on the leaves that wrapped me, and just like that I was freed. The leaves and roots abruptly went back and outside the window like they were being chased by something.

The pain that shot through me was paralyzing, and I smacked to the floor. Holding my bleeding neck and panting for air. Black dots started filling my vision as I try to stabilize my sight.

"We can't heal her here, she needs to be taken to Jemma for quick healing" my calm roommate suggested. Lindy helped me up with concern laced in her gestures.

Life is a beautiful lie. Death is a harsh truth, now I truly know what that really means. I saw my own life flash before my eyes, I thought it was going to be the last minute I would ever get to breathe.

Piper progressed forward towards me but then she detaches from me, with her gaze uncanny.

"Olympia you're human, I can't sense your power" Piper offered with suspicion plastered on her face.

I tried to stare at her, but my vision was unfocused. More blood cascaded down my neck making me feel dizzy.

"Olympia what happened to your powers? If the institute authorities sense you're human, they won't hesitate to kill you" Lindy panicked. I was just too weak to even say a word, I was completely immobilized and only one person seemed to have noticed that.

"She needs to heal first then we can discuss about that" my calm roommate offered and they nodded.

The three helped me up as we walked out of the room. We passed through some few institutes but then we halted. They flinched at the sight of an institute authority and smirking Scarlett. They dropped me to the floor and then stood as a shield.

"The girl on the floor is a mere human" Scarlett announced with a smug imprinted on her face. Isn't she tired already?

I'm unable to grasp the lengths to which she can go, just to make sure I remain dead. I stared as reality start to sink in, the worst part is that I couldn't even defend myself.

"That's a lie Scarlett" Piper rasped

"You just attacked her with your powers, so she's weak" Lindy defended. I felt really grateful for their help but their defense sure didn't have any effect on the institute authority.

He sniffed the air and his eyes averted to me with a scowl forming on his face. I flinched and clenched my eyes close. My calm roommate stares at me with sympathy, but underneath all that, I could see her pain.

"You're human!!" the institute authority snarled belligerently, like he was about to slice my throat right there.

Tears brimmed in my eyes as I watched them, I have never felt so helpless in my entire life.

First I barely escaped death few minutes ago and yet another attempt with my life.
