I layed in bed not feeling good. I think I was coming down with a cold. After we got married the other day I just came down with something and I felt like shit! My body hurted, I had the sweats, nose stuffed up, cramps, I was just all bad and all I wanted to do was sleep.

Harlem had to go into the city to do something for work and meet some his employees. I set up a doctors appointment to see if I could get something for this headache and aches and pains I was having.

I got out the shower dried off and got dressed. I was just going to put on a pair of leggings, a New York hoodie, a pair of high Nike socks, with a pair of Uggs, a Yankees New York hat and my cross body Prada purse.

I grabbed my phone and wallet to leave out. I got in my car and a wave of hunger hit. I stopped up the street before the express way and went to Starbucks. A vanilla bean Carmel frappe with extra Carmel and Christmas cookies sprinkled over it gonna do it for me every time. I also got a chicken Penni sandwich. It was so good.

I pulled up to my doctors office and sat for a second finishing my stuff. I was so nauseous after that. I noticed my body been doing that a lot lately.

I signed in and took a seat luckily wasn't no one really here so I should be in and out, cause I was so tired and ready to get in the bed to the point where I don't even want to drive home.

Malani Hendrix! My name was called. I stood up to follow the medical assistant to the back and to the exam room. She took my height weight and vitals. I was just happy I was getting thick again. I had gained some weight. This that happy relationship weight.

We just need you to pee in this cup the bathroom is across the hall and the doctor will be in to see you shortly. She smiled before walking out. I grabbed the cup she gave me and went across the hall. I had to pee anyways so they was lucky. I finished and washed my hands and sat the cup on the outside counter. I went back into my room and waited.

I called Harlem to tell him I made it to my appointment but our conversation was short because he was walking into a meeting. A knock filled the door making me but my phone up. I gave a small smile as the doctor came in.

Hi, Mrs. Hendrix I'm Dr. Rush. How are you feeling today?

Hi, I'm okay could be better. Having some aches and pains and a headache that won't go away.

Oh I'm sorry to hear that. It's pretty common in pregnancy.

Excuse me? What's common? WHO pregnant?

She started pressing down on my stomach and feeling around then took some measuring tape and measured it. Looking down at her my belly was round, but that's not something I would notice because I don't really lay on my back unless I'm getting fucked!
She poured this warm gel on my stomach and immediately smiled after she put the probe on it. "You're definitely pregnant!" She smiled as she turned the screen around to face me pointing to a baby. "Looks like you're measuring just a lil over 10 weeks. Looks like 10 weeks and 5 days. This would give you an estimate of June 20th. It looks like a girl, we don't like to say genders that early but she has her legs wide open that's a girl for sure!" She chuckled a bit. My mouth dropped and tears filled my eyes. This was real!? She printed a few pictures out for me and gave them to me. My eyes was filled with tears.

Since you are pregnant there is nothing I can really do. Tylenol is all that you can take. I will prescribe you some prenatal start taking them as soon as you can. I can imagine how hard this must be for you regarding the fact that you were told that you couldn't have kids anymore. You are blessed and we have all types of options if you choose to do other things.

I'm keeping my baby! I blurted out before she could finish and she smiled.

Okay well you can set up your next 4 week appointment at the front desk. It was nice meeting you. We also have counseling as well in case you may need anything regarding your incident and pregnancy.

Thank you! I grabbed my stuff and hurried out. I didn't bother to check out or make my next appointment I was just so overwhelmed I ran to my car as tears streamed down my face. I blew it downtown to where my husband was. I didn't even really bother to park the car really. I locked the doors and left it running.

Ms. Allen you can't park right there! Security called out to me as I ran pass them. I didn't stop I just kept running. The building was so loud and busy as it was under construction. I made my way up to the 5th floor he was using as his office space. I pushed the door opened in the conference room where he was having his meeting with a few executives. He was standing at the head of the table talking but stopped when he seen me come in.

Hey baby you okay? He asked in a panic coming over to me.

I'm pregnant! I blurted out.

Harlem I'm pregnant! I cried harder shoving the sonogram's in his hand. He was taken back for a second as he looked at them.

Yes baby I'm for for real! I smiled and his eyes started to tear up.

Sorry, excuse me everybody! They all started aweeing and clapping saying congratulations to us. He pulled me into the hallway in excitement and tried to fight back his tears. He picked me up hugging me swinging me around. "I love you, so much girl!" He smiled hard.

I grabbed his face and kissed him. "I love you so much more. We finally get our Brooklyn Xora!"

Who would have ever thought the man I fell in love with at 14 would be the man I stood firmly on and got to marry and now by a one in a million chance I get to marry. I'll forever be grateful for him and this child even if he did marry my sister before.
