Don't forget to like, comment and follow

My mouth fell open slightly, and I let out a gasp at her unexpected comment. Fortunately, it seemed no one heard it, or maybe they just didn't care to pay attention.

The piece of revelation was truly both shocking and hard to process, especially considering how obsessed she is with the brothers, except Hades. No one would ever imagine her being forced into marriage, and I can confidently say that.

But then again, I don't really know any of them, especially their pasts. These people are unpredictable, decisive, intimidating, and secretive. All I know is their ruthlessness.

I wonder how many more secrets she's still hiding.

Stephanie chuckled bitterly when he didn't make the slightest sound in response to her accusations.

Stephanie strode over to Adam and seized him by the collar, catching me off guard. Is she really willing to risk her hands for this?

Boldly yet recklessly, she yanked his collar, pulling his face close to hers.

"You promised you would love me," she sneered, her voice loud enough to make me flinch.

Worry ate at me when Adam didn't respond. All three brothers are ruthless, but Adam is the most demanding of respect. He can switch to a lethal mode in an instant if he feels slighted.

Adam's silence provoked a sharp and loud laugh from Stephanie. It wasn't the kind of laugh that lightened the mood and made you want to join; it was cutting and full of derision.

The atmosphere in the room was so stifling, I felt like I could barely breathe.

Stephanie looked like she wanted to explode, to shatter and flip everything in the room. I was expecting a full-on drama, but she did something unexpected. She clenched her fists, shut her eyes, and took a deep breath, clearly trying to keep her emotions in check.

"Adam, please... Please don't do this to me," she implored, her voice calm, devoid of the anger or frustration I anticipated.

I knew my presence was a reason for distress for her, but it felt like there was more to the story. I was certain the trio had been with many women before me, and would be with many more after. Why was she so disturbed by this situation? She should have been used to it by now.

It dawned on me that this place and the people in it were full of secrets waiting to be discovered which I could use to my advantage.

Stephanie's reaction was just a glimpse into the deeper, hidden conflicts, and I was determined to unravel every deep and dark secret.

"Please don't send me there. Please, he's a monster." My brows knitted in curiosity. Where are they sending her, and who is this monster?

"You killed my family, forced me, shared me, even killed my unborn babies, but not this," she cried, her voice shaking, her eyes brimming with tears as she let her true feelings spill out.

Killing a stranger is one thing, but killing your own blood, especially a child—that requires a heart of stone. If they have no heart, how can she expect them to feel for her? My heart aches for her loss, but she's foolish to still hope for anything from them.

These brothers are clearly incapable of emotions like love, care, sympathy. So why set yourself up for disappointment? Expectations only lead to pain.

My blue eyes met her dark brown ones. Stephanie's gaze hardened. Her cheeks were swollen and tear-streaked, her eyes bloodshot from crying. I won't lie, a wave of nervousness washed over me for some unknown reason. I shifted uneasily in my spot.
