POV: ALEX ROSSI
I glance at my 35,000$, Arceau L'heure de la lune watch that I got from Hermés last month. It's quickly becoming my favorite with its blue leather straps and background. It's already past 1.00 a.m! Me, Ryan, Lorenzo and Arthur have been discussing business and Isabella for the past one...two...three...four hours! I uncross my legs, set my glass of brandy on the coffee table and stand up, straightening my suit. "I'm going to go and check on our sister, she was pretty upset before, I'm just going to make sure she is sleeping." Arthur nods at me in approval, while Lorenzo shook his head. I know he is still angry with her for punching him in the face. It still baffles me how a small fourteen year old managed to punch a big, muscular, full grown man, but who am I to say anything, she kicked me in the balls! She is extremely fast, I'll give her that, we barely managed to catch here! I make my way up to her room and softly open the door so as to not wake her up. There is light coming in from the glass doors. I make my way to her bed, to make sure she's ok. As I peer down at her four poster bed I notice it's perfectly made, untouched, and especially empty. I walk to the bathroom and fling it open...empty. Fuck! Fuck! Fuck!
"ISABELLA IS MISSING!" I call out to my brothers, I honestly don't care who I woke up, I'm starting to panic. Where could she have gone? We literally put an alarm on her door so we would know if she sneaked out. I turn the light on and rush to her wardrobe and fling it open...empty. I look under the bed, no Isa. What if she was taken? I'm running my fingers through my hair trying to calm myself down but too many thoughts float in my brain. I don't even notice my brothers rushing into the room until Arthur pu ts a hand on my shoulder to steady me. I turn to him, my hands are shaking as I grab his,
"What if they kidnapped her?" My voice is shaky. I feel tears spring into my eyes, we rarely break down, we train for this but the thought of losing her again is worse than the usual stakes. I look around all my brothers are staring at me, Elijah is wearing one of his longer shirts and is in boxers, Dylan is in sweatpants and hoodie, weird, and Dominic, where's Dominic? "Where the fuck is Dominic?" I ask, my voice comes out more steady and deep, surprising me.
Ryan is the first one to react followed by Nick and Ezra as they march to his room, we follow behind quickly. I walk in to see Nick holding up a pillow. "He's not here! The fucker used pillows to make it look like he was sleeping!" I don't know if the situation just got better or worse. Dominic is not responsible, like at all, there's a reason we avoid involving him in business more than necessary. But at least she's not alone. My thoughts are interrupted by Ezra laughing out loud clutching his stomach. We all look at him, what is wrong with him? Our sister could be in danger! I feel anger surging up in my throat, but I keep my calm, Arthur though doesn't. Before I can stop him, Arthur lunges at him, grabbing him by his throat and pinning him against the wall, but Ezra doesn't stop laughing, Arthur looks like he's about to explode, his left hand is in a fist he raises it. I jump into action pulling Arthur off him before he does something he's going to regret. Ezra stops laughing but still has a smug expression on his face, almost amused. Arthur struggles against me harder, but my grip doesn't lend up.
"Stop this right now! Dylan and Elijah are right here!" I whisper into his ear. Arthur stops struggling and rips his arms out of my grip, combs his hair back and straightens his tie.
Ezra tuts "You've lost your touch brother. I mean you've got a little sister running around doing whatever she wants, punching people" he points at Lorenzo who clenches his jaw "and disappearing brothers" he finishes chuckling. I know that Arthur is fighting the urge to punch him and throw him out of Dominics window, but instead he turns around, raises his hand and punches the wall with all his might, leaving a dent in the brick wall. He then turns on his heel and marches out of the room while ordering us to find Isa. "Leave it to our eldest brother to walk out right when we need him" Ezra laughs again.
