"I know, baby, but I promise I'll see you tomorrow."

"I don't want you to leave." Naomi frowns. "Finneas needs my help with something, I'm sorry." I sigh. "It's okay. Just come over tomorrow and I'll forgive you." She rolls her eyes playfully. "Okay." I chuckle.

I lean down to her level on the bed and peck her lips. "I love you, pretty girl." Naomi smiles softly. "I love you too." I grin and kiss her one last time before walking out the door.

I walk to the front door with Talulah and walk to the car. I put the dog in the backseat before getting in the driver's seat and going to Finneas' house.

Me and Naomi had such an amazing night last night. I stayed over after our long night and we slept like babies in each other's arms.

I love being with her so much.

I'm sad I had to leave, but Finneas told me he needed help with some things.

When I get to his and Claudia's house, I walk up to the door and knock. The door opens and Talulah and I walk inside.

Claudia steps to the side so I can walk in, then she hugs me. "Hey, Kai." She grins. "Hi, Clauds." I reply with a smile.

"Claudia, do you know where my- ugh, she's here?"

Billie comes down the stairs and rolls her eyes when she sees me. "Yeah, Finneas called me over. Why are you still here?" I respond.

"I'm his sister. I can stay over his house whenever I want." Billie replies. "What's your excuse? Being a lonely bitch?"

"Fuck off, Eilish." I roll my eyes at her. "Is that really your only comeback?"

"Oh, I could say a lot worse, but I choose not to." She smiles proudly. "Don't get me started."

"No, go ahead and speak your mind. I'd love to hear what you got." I tell her. "No." She says. "Why not? Too much of a pussy?" I ask. "No.." Billie answers quietly. "Then why?" I question.

"Just leave me alone." She scoffs and walks off.

"Yeah, that's what I thought." I shout to her.

"You two are so childish." Claudia rolls her eyes. "Get your ass inside."

I sigh and walk all the way in the house and into the living room. "Where's Finneas?" I ask Claudia.

"The studio." She answers. I nod my head and walk to the studio. I open the door and see Billie, groaning into a pillow on the couch. "I can't stand it, Finneas."

I stand there awkwardly and she notices me. "Dude, do you ever knock? We're having a private conversation."

"In Kai's defense, I did call her over here." Finneas says. "Thank you, Finn." I reply.

"Thank you, Finn." She mocks me in an annoying voice. "Can you just shut the fuck up?"

"No, actually, I can't." I answer. "He needed my help with something. Which I don't even know what it is." I tell Finneas.

"I wanted your advice on this song. I'm not sure what it's missing and I know you'll be honest with me." He says.

"Let me hear it." I reply.

He plays it and I listen along. Once it's done, Finneas says "Don't you think it needs something?"

"Backing vocals. Billie's backing vocals." I answer.

"Me?" Billie's eyes widen. "Your voice would go good with this song." I say.

"Oh, uh, thanks, I guess." She replies quietly. "Not that I care about your opinion at all."

"Didn't think so." I roll my eyes. "Well if Kai thinks it'll work, maybe we should try it." Finneas suggests. "Fine." Billie sighs in defeat.

Finneas hands her the microphone and she takes it from him. He plays the song and she starts singing.

I might hate her, but the one thing I can't deny about her is how amazing her voice is.

She sings so beautifully.

I mean, it's good or whatever.

When Billie's done, Finneas and I stare at her with our eyes widened. "What? Was it bad?" Billie asks. "No, it was amazing. I just have to edit it and it'll be perfect. You were right, Kai." He tells me.

I flip my hair dramatically and Billie's face suddenly turns visibly angry.

"What?" I ask.

She points to my neck and I look down and notice I have several hickeys on me.

"Your little girlfriend do that?" She asks. "Why do you care?" I reply. "I don't, it's just disgusting. Why do you get to be happy? You don't deserve it." Billie says.

"Thanks." I scoff and get up. "Kai, don't go." Finneas sighs. "I'm gonna go hang out with Claudia." I tell him. "Thank god." Billie groans. "Fuck you." I reply as I walk out the door.

"You wish!" She shouts once I shut the door behind me.

I don't even reply, just roll my eyes and walk to find Claudia. I sit down on the couch with her and lay my hess in her lap. "What's wrong?" She asks. "Billie." I answer. "I'm sorry, honey." Claudia sighs. "What happened?"

"She's just being her again." I shrug my shoulders. "Typical Billie shit."

"Makes sense." She nods. "Billie's just going through a lot right now. She's been a bitch to everyone."

"But she's always been this way to me." I sigh. "She has an everlasting bitchy attitude towards me."

"I don't know how to help you, Kai. She's just being her. You know how she is." Claudia replies as she runs her fingers through my hair. "We just have to try and get through it, okay?"

"We? She's nice to you." I sigh. "I know, but I'll always be here for you. You know that." She smiles softly. "Thanks, Clauds." I grin back.

Billie is so frustrating. No matter how much I try to get past our differences, it doesn't work.

I don't think Billie is someone I'll ever be able to like. She's difficult, rude, and so incredibly hard to understand.

She drives me insane.
