Having found out about Anne's death, Sebastian's behavior took on a whole new meaning for me. Not only did I now know it all came from a place of anger, but from grief. I wondered exactly why he had been using blood magic if Anne had been dead.

Not that I knew much about blood magic, but I was sure that it couldn't possibly bring someone back to life, and even if it did, that person wouldn't be the same. I was sure bringing someone back from the dead could have deadly consequences, like Ominis and I had spoken about.

I knew Sebastian was probably on the lookout for the potion to bring Anne back, however, this fact saddened me. It had brought me the realization that Sebastian hadn't returned for my sake, or Ominis's, but because he was searching for that potion's location here, at Hogwarts. Deep inside, I had hoped he had missed us and wanted to come back and make things right.

He had done everything but that. Now, everything was more messed up than it had previously been.

I needed to find a way to talk to him. Which was becoming increasingly difficult since every time I got close, he would find a way to run from me, only one of his many problems hes avoiding.

After getting out of my potions class, I hurried to the astronomy tower. I had sent Sebastian an owl threatening to tell someone about his use of blood magic if he didn't meet up with me. I knew I was stooping low by doing such a thing, but he had forced my hand. He would not meet up with me any other way and that was the annoying truth.

I settled down on the polished floor of the tower and sighed out. Something was making me think he wouldn't come, that he would somehow sense I could never turn him in, just like I hadn't when he had killed him uncle. Truthfully speaking, I was a bystander to everything Sebastian did. I stayed by his side supporting him and letting him go down a destructive path all because I thought that's what a friend should do.

Not this time. I wouldn't let him destroy himself, or mess with death.

After waiting about half an hour, I heard steps approaching. I tensed up as I watched the familiar figure walk up the remaining stairs before standing a bit away, arms crossed, and a moody expression.

I couldn't help but think he looked like an upset child, like I was about to talk his favorite toy. Which I guess, isn't too far off, considering blood magic seemed to be his new favorite past time. Ridiculous.

"I'm surprised you showed up, honestly." I said, my voice echoing through the tower as he kept his cold gaze fixated on me.

I had noticed that about him lately as he had gotten a habit of staring down people as a means to intimidate them. However, that didn't work on me, he didn't intimidate me, rather, I still oddly felt safe in his presence.

He scoffed and rolled his eyes. "Well, you blackmailed me, Millicent. Think I had much of a choice?" He retorted. I stood up and took a step closer to him which he expressed his disapproval off by inching back a bit.

"I heard about Anne." I said suddenly. I studied his face as his cold gaze faltered for a split second before he composed himself. He tore his eyes away from mine as he kept his arms firmly crossed.

"And what about it?" He said coldly, furrowing his eyebrows.

I knew already that I was walking on eggshells. Sebastian had never taken talking about his sister lightly, and I had remembered watching my words very carefully all fifth year whenever she was brought up. Sebastian wasn't inherently an angry boy, but he was emotional, and things such as this would affect him greatly. Something he doesn't like to admit.
