We got to Arizona finally. The closer we get the more nervous I get. I think I'm a pretty cool person, I hope they do too.
"and you can't just not say anything the whole time you're there." She said.
"I know that. That's rude." I said as we held hands while she drove.
"did you bring those extra clothes I told you to grab?" She asked me.
"I did, I brought formal and then outside clothes because I didn't know which ones you meant." I said shrugging.
"I meant outside clothes. We gone hoop." She said making me smile. Anything that got to do with basketball makes me smile.
"Ouu." I said.
"speaking of that, did they get your situation figured out?" She asked me.
"they're leaning more towards making me play with men, which I don't mind, I just hope I can play up to that standard." She said looking up at me.
"well bronny can't and look at him." I said making her giggle.
"you're so unhinged." She said.
"I don't normally come to my family reunions fa rea." She said.
"how come?" I asked her.
"cause it's always some mess. And I'm gone always show my ahh if it comes down to it." She said.
We pulled into a driveway with a nice sized house and a bunch of cars. My heart fell again.
"bae you are fine. Literally both way. They're gonna like you, just be Jacquelyn." She said making me mug her.
We got out the car and walked to the door hand in hand. Ye sim nervous but hopefully it's not on my face.
"hello kinfolk." She said stopping to hug everybody she crossed paths with.
"ma." She said getting to her mother. I could tell that she was sick very recently.
"hey my baby." Her mother said hugging her.
"this is my girl, Jackie. Jack this is my mother." She said introducing me.
"hi. I'm, Jackie." I said waving and smiling.
"she's shy isn't she?" her mother said.
"she is."
"I'm Cameron's mother, Carmen." She said holding her hand out, I shook her hand and her mom is the kind of person it doesn't take me long to warm up to.
"you want something to drink?" She asked me.
"umm water is fine." I said sitting next to my girlfriend.
"Cameron. Get her a water." She said making Cameron mug her.
"you the one who asked her if she wanted something." She said side eying her.

I walked to the kitchen to get Jack's water out the fridge. I seen my niece playing with the magnets in the floor with all the people in the kitchen.
"what are you doing?" I said picking her up.
She giggled and she said playing in her little tiny voice.
"You want to play subway surfers?" I asked her.
She nodded her head, I grabbed the water and walked back into the living room.
"hmm mama." I said handing it to Jackie.
"thanks my love." She said taking it out my hands. I sat next to her with my niece.
