After leaving the Count's mansion, we consulted Faye and Merry regarding our upcoming journey to the Tannic Continent, which would mean no longer staying in Rolobur. Without any hesitation, they both decided to join us on the adventure. Dayna too expressed his interest, stating he wanted to explore another continent before thinking about returning to the forest—perhaps for a while longer.

The group made their decision, and we planned to rent a carriage to set out for Tannic together. Faye, Merry, Ayher, Dayna, and I sat in the carriage, while the rest rode horses. Merry held me in her embrace, and I grew a bit drowsy on the journey. Just as I was about to close my eyes, I distinctly sensed a strong magical presence emanating from my spatial ring. A weak voice spoke directly to me, "I'm about to come out, master."

I instantly became alert, feeling a strange curiosity. What was going on?

"Why aren't you sleeping, dear Lisa?" Merry, still holding me, gave me a slightly discontented look. "I wanted to see my darling sleeping so cutely."

"Sister Merry, let me go first." I turned my face away, widening my eyes and pretending to look pitiful. From my past experiences, this tactic worked particularly well on Merry, albeit at a slight personal cost.

"Little Lisa is just too adorable!" Merry planted a sloppy kiss on my cheek, and then finally let me sit by myself.

I sighed in relief, only to notice Dayna and Ayher stifling laughter, while Faye wore a helpless expression. Ignoring them, I decided to let such incidents roll off, given how often they occurred—it's only that they still tended to tease me about it.

I sat to one side, sending my magical senses into the ring, and found that all the magic was concentrating at a single point—it seemed to be coming from the egg! Yes, the magical beast egg! Since I gained the Forest's Eye ability, I hadn't bothered to take it out, especially since the power allowed me to commune with the forest's flora and fauna. As I hadn't needed it recently, the matter had slipped my mind.

Taking the egg out of the ring, everyone in the carriage curiously watched as I held it in my hands. Ayher suddenly exclaimed, "Sasha, the egg just moved! Could it be about to hatch?"

I watched the egg attentively, holding it up on my palms as I felt the shell trembling. Slowly, it began to crack—a faint tapping sound emerged, and the crack widened. Hurriedly, I placed the egg on the empty seat beside me. 'Crack, crack'—the shell broke open, revealing a fluffy little head. After gulping down the broken bits of the eggshell, it locked its eyes on me. "Master, I can finally come out!"

"You can speak?" I gazed at the tiny creature, stunned. I had no idea magical beasts could talk.

"Of course I can!" It lifted its head proudly, its emerald green eyes shining with clarity and a hint of mischief.

"What are you, anyway?" I gently tapped its slightly reddish nose.

"Hehe." The creature curled itself up and rolled into my lap. "Master, I'm a Zouyu!"
