Days had gone by, and I was sometimes with Dabi and sometimes with Toga. We didn't do much, just some small preparations and stuff, until we were finally called to All for One's hideout. Dabi and I entered the cave, and the others were already there. Also, Tomura was there. He was lying on the ground and yelled out in pain; I couldn't take it. I ran over to him and wrapped him in my arms. "It's alright, other me. It's alright. The factors are just mixed up and out of order. With time, you'll be able to use your quirks again." All for One spoke and walked over to me and Tomura. He bent down and touched his shoulder. "I'll kill you. I hate you. As long as someone remembers the face of All Might, this frustration won't go away. " Tomura mumbled.
"Tomura, please calm down; I'm beggin you." I said, and his eyes landed on me. I hugged him tighter. "Please." I mumbled. "It's all right; this is excellent. Even though we didn't get new order, you could say that we cleared away our greatest obstacle. Take it easy!" All for One said and stood up again, while I still held him close, while he turned to my brother. "Sorry to say this after having you get ready, but please wait a little longer." He said. "No way. I can't take it anymore. My old man's flying energetically in the sky today, too." He mumbled annoyed.
I took Tomura away from them so he could rest in peace for just some time. "Sora..." He mumbled. "What happened to you?" He asked me. "What do you mean?" I asked him with a worried expression. "Where's your slime? I want to see it again." He said, and I looked at him shocked. I tried to, but there was just no way I was able to smile right now. "I'm sorry, Tomura. I can't. I can't smile right now." I told him and put our foreheads against each other, "Are you sad?" He asked me; he was like a child. "I am." I said with a tiered voice. "I promise, I will create a world where you can smile again. I promis." He told me, and I slowly nodded as I started to cry. Thank you, Tomura." I mumbled and held him closer.
Day of the battle
I was standing next to Dabi as I looked at Tomura, who stood a few meters away from us. I was about to talk to him when suddenly out of our moths came the typical black liquid, and we knew it was time...time for the battle. We got sent onto the battle field, and there were already hundreds of heroes.
The other villains started attacking, but I quickly walked up to Tomura. "Dabi." He mumbled. "Don't tell me what to do, leader!" Dabi yelled and dashed forward.
"Tomura..." I started, but before I could really speak, metall plates came out of the floor, and I got separated into another metal cage than Tomura. "Shit! What the hell is going on!?" I yelled and looked around; with me were some more villains, and the metal cage got shoved into a portal.
WE got shoved into the portal, and the metal cage then was in the air. I quickly dashed away from the cage and landed on my two feet. In front of me stood Kirishima. "Kiri," I said as I looked at him. "Sora," he said. Some other heroes were here, but they concentrated on the other villains and nomus that were with me; it looks like it was Kirishima vs me.
"What happened to you? Why did you do this, Sora!?" He yelled. "You guys left me! You left me, dropped me to my death!" I yelled back. I could see the shock on his face, but I didn't give him time to respond. I dashed forward, flames already swirling around my hands.
Kirishima's reflexes kicked in. He hardened his skin just in time, blocking my fiery punch. Sparks flew as my flames collided with his rock-solid body, the heat barely making a dent in his defense. He stood firm, but I didn't stop. I launched a series of quick strikes, each one aimed at his weak points.
"Sora, we never wanted this! It was an accident; Bakugo never wanted this!" He yelled at me. "He didn't want it?! He even said sorry in the moment he dropped me. I saw it in his eyes; it was not just an accident!" I yelled back. We stood facing each other.
Kirishima's eyes widened at my words, but I didn't wait for him to respond. I rushed at him again, flames roaring around me as I closed the distance between us. This time, I aimed low, trying to knock him off balance, but he was ready. His arms turned to stone once more, and he blocked my kick, the force of it sending shockwaves through the ground.
"I know you're hurt, but this isn't the way!" he shouted, pushing back with surprising strength. I stumbled, my footing slipping on the scorched ground, but I quickly regained my balance.
"You don't understand! I'm hurt! I'm fucking hurt by all your actions!" I yelled, sending another burst of fire in his direction, this time hotter and more intense. He barely had time to brace himself before the flames engulfed him, his hardened skin glowing red from the heat. "They gave me a home! People that are villains gave me a home! Yo guys were supposed to, and didn't my fucking kidnappers care more for me than you!" I yelled.
I steadied myself, wiping sweat from my brow as I glared at Kirishima. My chest was heaving, the heat of my own quirk making it hard to breathe, but I refused to stop. "You don't get it," I growled, flames flickering around my hands as I prepared one final attack. "You'll never understand what I've been through."
Kirishima's eyes widened, and for a split second, I saw hesitation in him. He didn't want to hurt me, but I didn't care. All I wanted was to make them feel the pain I'd been carrying all this time.
With a roar, I charged forward, my flames burning hotter than ever, ready to strike him down.
"Sora, wait!" Kirishima's voice broke through the rage. His tone wasn't angry or accusing—it was soft, almost pleading. "I'm sorry. We failed you. I failed you."
My steps faltered. His words hit me harder than any punch. The fire in my hands flickered, my control slipping as I hesitated for the first time in this battle.
"I thought you were gone, and it broke me," he said, his voice trembling. "I never wanted this. We were supposed to be there for you... You were our friend." His eyes, filled with guilt, searched mine desperately, and I could see the sincerity in his face. He meant it.
My breath caught in my throat, my flames weakening as I went to attack him. Maybe... maybe I didn't have to do this. Maybe—
But the pain and betrayal surged back. I couldn't let it go that easily.
In a moment of desperation, I lunged forward, aiming for his chest, hoping to drive my fiery fist through him. But Kirishima, seeing my intentions, raised his hands defensively.
"No! Sora, don't!" he shouted, but it was too late. I propelled myself onto his outstretched hands, feeling the sharp edges of his hardened skin press against me as I drove myself into him.
The moment felt like slow motion as I felt the heat and intensity of my quirk fade. I had stabbed myself onto his hands, and the shock registered in his eyes.
"Sora!" Kirishima's voice cracked as he realized what had just happened. His hands trembled, and he tried to pull away, but I was already losing my grip, blood spilling from the wound.
I staggered back, my legs giving way beneath me. The world around me blurred, and I collapsed to the ground, blood pooling beneath me. The pain was overwhelming, a fire of its own burning through my veins. I could barely breathe.
Kirishima fell to his knees beside me, his face twisted with grief. "No, no, no! I didn't mean—" He cradled me in his arms, tears streaming down his cheeks. "I didn't mean to—"
I looked up at him, my vision fading. He was crying, holding onto me like he could somehow undo what had just happened. But it was too late.
"I'm sorry," he sobbed, his voice breaking. "I'm so sorry..."
With my last strength, I slowly reached out to Kiri's face and held his face. "Kiri...I'm sorry." Before the world went black.
