I looked at my five enemies, all of them grinning as if they had already won. I could feel the tension in the air, their quirks were activated and ready. These weren't just any fighters; they seemed to have quirks that could counter fire. I clenched my fists, feeling the familiar heat rising within me as I prepared to defend myself.
"Bring it on," I muttered, and flames erupted from my hands.
The first guy charged at me, using some sort of water manipulation quirk to create a shield. I threw a wave of fire at him, but the flames fizzled out as soon as they hit the water. He smirked, thinking he had the upper hand, but I wasn't done. I dodged to the side, sending a smaller, concentrated burst of flame toward his feet, forcing him to jump back. In that split second, I punched him in the gut, knocking the wind out of him.
"Not bad, but you're outnumbered," one of the others taunted as the group closed in around me.
Another enemy raised a hand, and suddenly, the ground beneath me began to harden, like stone trapping my feet. I was immobilized. "Damn it!" I cursed, trying to free myself, but the ground only tightened its hold.
"Looks like you're not going anywhere," said the leader of the group, a smug grin plastered on his face as he watched me struggle. I was trapped, and my fire wasn't doing much against their quirks. It felt like they had me cornered, like there was no way out.
But then, from behind the group, a familiar voice called out. "Tch. Really? You guys think you can handle her?"
I glanced up and saw Dabi leaning casually against a wall, flames dancing around his hands. He looked as relaxed as ever, but there was an edge in his eyes.
"Dabi..." I breathed out in relief.
He took a step forward, the blue fire in his hands flickering menacingly. "I guess I'll have to clean up this mess for you, Sora. Try not to get yourself killed, alright?"
Without waiting for a response, Dabi launched into action, his blue flames roaring as they engulfed two of my attackers. They screamed in panic, scrambling to defend themselves, but Dabi's fire was relentless, far hotter and more dangerous than mine.
The leader of the group snarled and turned his attention to Dabi. "You think you can just burn us all? Our quirks can counter your flames!"
Dabi shrugged, a dark grin spreading across his face. "Counter this, then." He unleashed a massive wall of fire, forcing the remaining three attackers back. In the chaos, the stone binding my feet loosened, and I quickly broke free.
With a nod of thanks to Dabi, I joined him, our flames now working together to overwhelm the last of the enemies. They stood no chance. In mere moments, we had them either knocked out or fleeing for their lives.
As the last of them ran, Dabi turned to me, his trademark smirk still in place. "Not bad, huh? I thought I'd let you have some fun before I stepped in."
I rolled my eyes, still catching my breath. "Thanks for the save. I had them... mostly."
"Sure you did," he said with a teasing glint in his eye.
We stood there for a moment, the aftermath of the fight settling around us, and I couldn't help but feel a wave of gratitude. Dabi had come for me, and even though he acted nonchalant, I could tell he wasn't just doing it out of duty.
He stepped closer, his expression softening slightly, though he kept that cool edge. "You alright?"
I nodded. "Yeah. Thanks to you." I admitted and then looked back to where the tower was supposed to be, but it wasn't there anymore. "I have to go!" I yelled and quickly ran towards where the tower was supposed to be. When I arrived at the battlefield, my eyes widen.
Tomura was there, and he looked like a madman. I saw a machine and Tomura in front of it. He looked bad. Very bad. His clothes were ripped, blood was all over his head, and his fucking hair was white! I gasped but didn't really think after I saw that. He just touched the floor, and everything started to collapse. I just ran. I ran straight at him. "Tomura!" I yelled, and his head turned a little in my direction. His eyes widden, and he quickly ran in my direction. He picked me up from the ground while one of his fingers on each hand wasn't touching me. "Are you stupid?! If you touch the ground, my quirk would decay you!" He said freaked out but I hugged him tightly. His arm was just purple, and there was so much blood. "Oh my god. Why's your hair white!?" I yelled as I looked at him; also, his leg looked bad, probably broken. "What happened to you?" I asked as I looked at him. He didn't respond; he looked at me like a guilty child. But then his gaze shifted from me to behind me, and I turned around to see a man with orange hair sitting there. "Is that de-destro?" I asked him, and he slowly nodded. He let me down and tried to stand normal, and since that didn't work, I helped him, and together we walked over to that guy.
"Did your feet touch the ground? You cut them off before your whole body was destroyed, huh? Hey, why are you fighting again? It's because you came looking for a fight, right?" Tomura asked, and the man didn't answer. The other members of the liberation army then also arrived. "Re-Destro! Everyone go save the grand commander!" The welldressed man yelled. Before they could, Tomura shot them a glare, and they looked at him with pure fear.
"Trumpet...Any more of this...is pointless death." He said, and it was silent for a moment, until he turned his body a little with his hands and looked at us. "As you said, I picked a fight and lost. If you're going to kill me, then do it. But I am ready to sacrifice myself for destros wish. The liberation army...will follow you." He said and bowed. Tomura then looked like he had a great idea. "Since you're the CEO of Detnerst, you have money, right?" He asked, and the man nodded in fear.
