"Your quirk blossomed in the previous fight. Now you can destroy not just what you touch but also what it connects." The doctor said. Tomura and I went to the doctor to run some tests. "You have become the emvodiment of destructure. Let me ask you, Why do you wish for more power?" The doctor asked, and I looked at Tomura amazed as he was finally able to control when he wants to turn something into dust, even if it's all five fingers or just two fingers. It doesn't matter. "Well, if you say you'll give it to me, then I'll take it. It's true that I don't need to use these cheap tricks anymore. But look at my arm. This is what happened after using it once. How many people do you think they have? I don't underestimate heroes anymore. But look at my arm. I will use all that power I can get to turn what All Might left behind to dust. I'll make next time the last time." He said, and I looked at him with concern. "You're putting all your strength into what your opponent hates? Like master like student, huh?" Tomura then sat into a chair that was connected to some electronic devices.
"Sora...I may be out for some time... I'll have an extra Nomu looking out for you until I'm finally ready." He said as he looked right at me. I approached the chair slowly. "And you better don't die on me. You hear me? If you die or something, I'm personally going to kill you." I told him as I pointed my finger at him. "I won't." He said with an almost soft smile. "Take care." I said and kissed his cheek. I gave him one last glance before I left the doctor and Tomura alone.
After leaving Tomura with the doctor, I stepped outside and found Dabi waiting, leaning against the wall with his usual calm expression. His arms were crossed, blue flames flickering faintly around his fingertips. "Ready to get burned?" he asked, smirking as he pushed himself off the wall. "Funny. You wish," I shot back, rolling my eyes but smirking as well. We had been training together more often ever since the fight in Deika City. Dabi's attitude hadn't changed much—he was still sarcastic and aloof—but something had shifted. He seemed to take our training a bit more seriously now, like he saw something in me worth working on.
We walked over to the training area, an open space behind the League's hideout, surrounded by tall buildings and debris. It was perfect for training with quirks like ours. The ground was already scorched from previous sessions. "So, what's the plan?" I asked, stretching a bit. Dabi didn't bother with small talk. He raised one hand, flames erupting from his palm in an instant. "Defend yourself," he said simply, sending a stream of blue fire toward me without any warning. I quickly reacted, creating a barrier of fire to block his attack. His flames were hotter than mine, but I had been improving. The heat made me sweat, but I held my ground, pushing his fire back with my own.
"Not bad," he said, his voice casual. "But you're still holding back." I gritted my teeth, feeling the challenge in his words. "I'm not holding back." "Then show me," Dabi said, stepping closer and sending another wave of flames, this time stronger. His fire was relentless, swirling around me like a storm. I focused, letting my flames grow, trying to match his intensity. The air between us crackled with heat, and I could feel the ground beneath my feet sizzling. My hands burned with power, and for a moment, I felt like I could almost match him. But Dabi wasn't done yet. He flicked his wrist, and the flames around me swirled faster, tightening like a noose. My vision blurred with the heat, and I knew I had to do something fast. With a shout, I pushed my flames outward, creating a burst that broke through Dabi's attack. The force knocked him back a step, but he caught himself easily, a satisfied smirk on his face. "Now that's more like it," he said, nodding approvingly.
We trained for a good hour until we were finally finished. "Tell me, Dabi. How did you end up on this path?" I asked him curious. I was lying on the ground, and he was sitting with his back against a wall. "Everytypical villain story." He said as he grinned at me. "Now, come on, tell me more." I said with a pout.
"Fine, Long story short, my father was a pro-hero, and when I was born and my quirk finally showed, he started training me; day after day, I hadn't had any rest. I hated my life. But I wanted his approval, so I trained more. Soon I figured the fire would burn my body because it was too hot, but I kept doing it. He wanted me to stop, but I wanted his approval. One day, I trained so hard, I wasn't able to control it, and I burned my whole body. I fell into a coma that day and that for 3 years. I woke up in a strange place and burned the place down; after that, I joined the league." He told me, and I looked at him with shock. "That's just awefull. I know what that's like." I mumbled as I thought about my father and brother...my sibling...Touya. "Well, it can't be helped." I said and stood up. "I'll have to get even stronger; I'm going to face my brother and father soon; until then, I'll have to be stronger than this." I said as I looked at him.
"Then show me what you've got!" He yelled and sent another flame in my direction. "Hey!" I yelled and fired back.
