Setting down the last unconscious child by the others he had relocated, Izuku stood up. He had asked the homeless-looking hero how many children there were and Izuku counted thirty-nine, only one missing. Even still that one was his fault. He could have been faster and he could have waited to experiment with his quirk at a later time. He had grown arrogant with his perceived power, thinking himself infallible. He had learned the ones around him didn't have the luxury of such power and now one child had been kidnapped by The League of Villains as he was told.
Hovering off the ground, he crossed his arms and thought about the missing child, Bakugo Katsuki. He had been trained for search and rescue operations during his time on the island. He had been drilled with procedures and ways of finding people. Most of those procedures leaned on hero infrastructure and its networks he had no access to, so that was not an option. The other way was to go to the streets and question any criminal he found. After all, if there's such a group calling themselves The League of Villains then it should be some hints.
Izuku was interrupted from his planning by the crunch of footsteps nearing him. He turned to see the other hero approach him. Behind him was the homeless hero, the cat hero team minus the one nearly kidnapped, and they didn't look friendly. His eyes flickered to all the standing students watching the scene before them. Some of them looked away in fear when he looked at them. Others, those who didn't see Izuku kill a villain in front of them, watched in anticipation, and some were tense for battle.
"Izuku, while I thank you for saving my students I cannot let you go freely." The man with sharp tusks said sternly. His body was tense and ready to fight. "Multiple students have admitted witnessing you murder villains. That on itself alone warrants your immediate arrest." The cat team spread out behind him, ready to support the hero.
Izuku tilted his head in curiosity. He turned his body towards them and asked. "Why does it matter if I killed them?"
"Killing someone is morally wrong." The male cat started immediately. "Not to mention a hard crime."
"I agree, but I didn't kill just someone. I killed the rot that makes Japan worse."
"That's not what you can decide! We have a law for a reason. If everyone decides to take the law into their own hands then it would be chaos!" The tusked hero growled.
"The law failed," Izuku stated. "I've been free for less week and I've found the Hero Public Safety Commission's corruption in handling villains. In just one day, I've found proof of them releasing villains they knew they could handle for their public image to stay where it is now." Izuku's eyes snapped to the homeless hero and narrowed at his slight wince. "And you knew about this."
"Underground Heroes get a chance to see the darker side of work. But this does not change the fact of your crimes. Please, come peacefully." Aizawa said gripping his scarf.
"The only ones I've ever killed will never bring anything good to this world and none of you will stop me." Izuku's arms uncrossed and he disappeared with the snap of the sound barrier breaking. The heroes jolted at the sudden noise and looked around for him. They heard the shouts of their charges and turned to see Izuku gripping Eraserhead's head from behind. "I don't know what your quirk does so I will avoid it. I will find Bakugo Katsuki and bring him safely back." With those last words, he shoved Eraserhead forward and then shot into the air.
Aizawa rolled forward and scanned the air with his quirk activated. He cursed as he saw no sign of the boy. He touched where he had been gripped by the head. While Izuku's grip was unyielding, it wasn't painful.
"Eraserhead, are you hurt?" Vlad King asked.
The disheveled hero stood up and motioned them to calm down. "No, I'm fine. Where did he head off to?" He turned to the others and gave a once-over to his remaining students.
