The week flew by, filled with training sessions, classes, and stolen moments between Sero and Shinsou. Each day brought them closer, their connection deepening with every shared smile and lingering touch. As the weekend approached, Shinsou found himself buzzing with anticipation for their upcoming date.On Friday afternoon, as the last bell rang, students spilled out of the classrooms, eager for the weekend. The purple haired boy lingered a moment, gathering his things while trying to ignore the flutter of nerves in his stomach. Sero was waiting for him outside the classroom, leaning casually against the wall, a bright grin on his face.
"There you are!" The boy called out, pushing off the wall and heading toward him.
"Ready for our big adventure?""Definitely. Any hints about what you have planed?" Shinsou asked, trying to sound casual but unable to hide the excitement in his voice.
The other shook his head, feigning innocence.
"Nope! You'll just have to trust me."He raised an eyebrow, a playful smirk on his lips.
"Trust you? That's a big ask."Sero shrugged with an exaggerated pout.
"Aww, c'mon! I promise it'll be fun. I've got everything planned out. Just... be ready for anything."———
The sun was beginning to set, casting a warm glow over the city as Sero led his boyfriend through a series of bustling streets. They stopped at a small outdoor cafe with fairy lights strung above, creating a cozy atmosphere. The air was filled with the smell of freshly brewed coffee and sweet pastries, making Shinsou's mouth water.
"Wow, this place is cute," he admitted, glancing around with an appreciative smile.
"Right? I thought it'd be a good spot to start," Sero said, leading them to a table outside. They settled in, ordering drinks and snacks while chatting about their week and upcoming assignments.
Sero ordered a caramel macchiato with extra caramel drizzle, and a slice of matcha cheesecake. While Shinsou decided to go for an iced black coffee, as well as a dark chocolate brownie.
As they sipped their drinks, and ate their pastries, sharing bites of each other, the conversation turned more personal. Shinsou felt a warmth spreading through him as he listened to the other's stories, their laughter mingling with the sounds of the cafe.
"I can't believe you actually tried to get out of training by pretending to be injured," Shinsou teased, shaking his head in disbelief.
"What were you thinking?"The black haired boy laughed, leaning back in his chair with a playful glint in his eyes.
"Hey, desperate times call for desperate measures! Plus, who wouldn't want a day off?"The other just rolled his eyes, a fond smile on his face.
"You're ridiculous."Sero leaned forward, resting hin chin on his hand.
"But you love it."Shinsou felt his heart race at the words, a shy smile creeping onto his face.
"Yeah, I do."———
After finishing, Sero stood up, extending a hand toward the other.
"Ready for part two of our adventure?"Shinsou took his hand, feeling a jolt of warmth at the contact.
"What do you have planned next?""Trust me," he said with a wink, pulling him along.
They walked for a while, finally arriving at a small park bathed in twilight. Sero led them to a secluded spot under a large tree, where a blanket was spread out, complete with pillows and a small speaker playing soft music.
"What's all this?" Shinsou asked, his eyes widening in surprise.
"Just a little picnic under the stars," the boy replied, his cheeks flustered with excitement.
"I figured we could have some time just for ourselves."Shinsou felt a rush of affection for the other at that moment. He had always been so thoughtful, and it made him realize just how much he appreciated having him in his life.
They settled on the blanket, the soft sounds of music mingling with the rustle of leaves overhead. Sero had packed a few sandwiches, fruit, and even some dark chocolate covered pretzels, Shinsou's favorite snack. As they snacked and talked, the sky darkened, revealing a blanket of stars overhead.
"Wow," he breathed, looking up at the night sky littered with stars.
"It's beautiful.""Just like you," Sero said without hesitation, glancing over at the boy with a genuine smile.
The purple haired boy felt a heat rise to his cheeks at the compliment, but he met Sero's gaze, the intensity in those dark eyes making his heart race.
"Thanks, but I think you're the one who's beautiful."The boy laughed, a light and carefree sound.
"Flattery will get you everywhere, you know."They fell into a comfortable silence, both soaking in the moment. Shinsou felt a deep sense of contentment wash over him. For the first time in a long time, he felt truly at peace.

As the night wore on, Sero leaned back on his elbows, a playful grin spreading across his face.
"Okay, so I have to ask - what's your favorite kind of date? This one? Or something more... adventurous?"The other pondered the question, his heart racing at the thought.
"Honestly? I love this. Just being with you, talking, and sharing a moment like this. It feels real."Sero's expression softened, and he moved closer, their knees brushing against each other.
"You know, I really like that too. It's nice just being ourselves without any expectations.""Exactly," Shinsou replied, feeling the warmth radiating from the other.
"And it's a great way to get to know each other better."Sero's gaze lingered on the other boy for a moment before he reached out, his fingers gently brushing against Shinsou's hand. "So, is it too late to say that I'm falling for you?"
Shinsou's heart skipped a beat, the words hanging in the air between them.
"No, I don't think it is. I feel the same."With a smile that could light up the darkest night, Sero moved closer, their shoulders touching as they shared a moment of unspoken understanding. The world around them faded away, leaving just the two of them beneath the stars, tangled up in a warmth that felt like home
