Summary: Lena and Lillian finish the kryptonite dispersal bomb.

*Meanwhile*

"There." Lena carefully tightens the last screw into the kryptonite dispersal bomb. She backs away from the large magnifying glass and breathes a sigh of relief, letting her muscles relax again. "The vial with the new kryptonite is secured."

"Let me see." Lillian says curtly and peers through the glass. "Clean. Precise. Well done." She doesn't look at Lena, when saying these words but Lena takes them as a compliment anyway. "Now we just need to get rid of the evidence."

She turns around and Lena is already typing away at the computer. She easily hacks into Lex's satellite mainframe and clears the files with any information on how to use the new kryptonite. "Done." Lena takes a slightly shaky, deep breath. "Now all that's left to do is test it."

Lillian nods.

As if summoned, the doors open and Lex walks in with one of his henchmen.

"Mother. Lena." He adjusts the cuffs on his shirt. "Am I correct to assume you have finished?" He glances over at the box in front of them.

"That is correct." Lillian smiles at him. She gently picks the box up and brings it over to him.

Lena slowly stands up and shuffles in front of the computer, hiding what was on screen, hoping it would turn off again before Lex sees it.

"A kryptonite dispersal bomb?" Lex looks at the device, closely.

"Yes, dear." Lillian nods. She points to a button on the top. "This is the button that will activate it. When you press it, the kryptonite will be released into the atmosphere."

"And our bird goes down." Lex mutters.

"Precisely."

"Lena?" Lex turns to his sister. "Follow me."

Lena looks at with confusion. "Why?"

"Just do it" He rolls his eyes.

Lena looks back over her shoulder at Lillian as Lex leads her back out of the room. They walk down the long hall and get back in the elevator.

"Where are we going?" Lena asks, trying to hide her uneasiness.

Lex hands the dispersal bomb to his henchman. "We are taking this for a test run."

Lena has to bite the inside of her cheeks to stop from smiling. Just a few more minutes and this will all be over and she can get back to Kara.

The car is waiting for them outside and Lena doesn't hesitate to get in this time.

"Where are we testing it?" She asks Lex, once they start driving.

"You'll see." Lex smirks.

They don't drive long and the car parks in an alleyway of National City.

"Ladies first." Lex opens the door.

Lena gets out and takes in their surroundings. "Where are we?" She asks again.

"An alley, somewhere. Away from prying eyes." Lex shrugs. "Now," He takes the dispersal bomb back from his henchman, "Bombs away."

Lena takes a few steps back.

"Here's to humanity." Lex mutters with a sly grin on his face and pushes the button to activate the bomb.

A cloud of green fog starts to spill out of the box and starts flowing upwards, into the atmosphere.

"And now we wait..." Lex muses.
