Aarav had returned to Riverton with little more than a suitcase and memories he couldn't leave behind. He had once been the boy who laughed at the wind, who ran through the meadows without a care in the world. But that was before life had caught up with him, before his mother's sudden passing, and before the city life drained him of his vitality. The house he returned to, an old family home passed down through generations, stood quietly at the edge of the town-a reflection of Aarav himself.

Sana, living next door, had always been the town's golden girl. Full of life and energy, she had an infectious personality that could brighten the dullest of days. Yet, her energy came with an insatiable curiosity. Sana had always seen Aarav from a distance, and now that he had returned, she found herself more intrigued by the man he had become. His silence, his distance, and the way he seemed detached from the world piqued her interest.

Aarav spent most of his days on the porch of his old house, staring into the horizon as though searching for something that wasn't there. It wasn't long before Sana approached him one evening, breaking through his silence with her usual energy. "You've been back for a week, and you haven't said a word to anyone," she said, folding her arms. "What's the deal?"

Aarav looked at her, surprised by her directness. "There's not much to say," he muttered, his voice barely above a whisper. But Sana wasn't the type to let things go easily. She sat beside him, not pushing him to speak but offering her presence as a kind of comfort. Aarav didn't mind. For the first time in a while, the silence between them didn't feel heavy.
