riki groggily sits up in bed, his head throbbing and aching. he realises the unfamiliar environment, and scans the room for a moment, jumping slightly when he sees a girl next to him in bed. he looks down and sees himself shirtless, before it hit him: he messed up last night.

but how? how did he end up in bed with a random girl?

he thought he left with umi, so...

he slowly turns to look at the girl.

seeing chaewon, face full of makeup, sleeping peacefully, slightly disgusted riki.

how could he have mistaken umi for her? he was beyond shocked of how much alcohol could affect him, to the point he couldn't even differentiate two girls apart.

in an attempt not to wake chaewon, riki slowed his actions: he slowly got out of the covers, slowly landed on the floor on one foot first before the other, slowly bent down to grab his shirt, and slowly opened the door, praying that the door wouldn't creak too loudly.

luckily luck was in his favour, but not for long.

it just so happened umi came out of her dorm as well, planning to head down to the great hall for some breakfast.

she stared in disbelief seeing riki coming out of her best friend's room, shirtless.

she couldn't care less about riki's abs that were on full display.

the pieces all clicked.

the fact that he was in her best friend's room, his mysterious disappearance once she came back from the restroom the night before...it all finally made sense.

and the fact he was shirtless, his messy hair...a thousand words were spoken.

despite riki's attempts to stop her from running away, it was useless.

riki's heart fell, seeing umi running out of the common room, the distance between them growing larger and larger, not just physically, but emotionally as well.

it was all his fault.

how could he even not realise it was umi last night? he had to be out of his mind.

before riki even had a chance to think about running after umi, he felt soft arms draped over his shoulders.

it was a firm grip, and riki swung around, seeing the person he least wanted to see.

that person also happened to be smiling smugly, gazing longingly into his eyes.

she dragged him back into her room, whispering seductively, "forget her, whatever she does, i can do better."

riki's eyes bulged in disbelief.

what had he gotten himself into?

but then it clicked: seeing chaewon's clothes on the floor...it looked too familiar. it looked almost too identical to umi's wednesday addams costume.

it was at that moment riki knew he had to apologise to umi and get rid of chaewon, before she got in the way.

even if it meant losing the mischief managed competition.

but it was obviously not going to be an easy ride.
