After about two months at the Training Corps camps, you will now see what Sira has to say about the cadets, as she writes a letter to her brother Erwin. While not much might be happening, some things may later on turn out to be very dark forshadowing. Very soon, Reiner comes into the bigger picture, too; until then, you are free to interpret her remarks about him yourself.
All of this chapter is to be viewed as Sira's written notes. Unfortunately, Wattpad won't let me edit sentences to be crossed out; so please bear with me. I underlined Sira's crossed out comments on here.

Enclosed you will find my notes about some of this year's cadets.

Keith Shadis let me know from the start there would be promising recruits this time around. I have to admit: He is right. I'm certain you will understand this after reading through my notes.

I will send you an update in another two months. Rest assured that the matter of my mission is taken care of. As I wrote to you a few weeks back, shortly after I arrived, I am even partaking in training the cadets from time to time. It gives even more insight into not only their abilities, but also who they are as a person and their morales.

When you told me, back then, that you know I don't want to get too close to others, I felt caught. After all, you do know me. But I will also have to admit that you might have been right nevertheless. I worry about you and Hange a lot, as we are so far apart from each other. Not a day goes by where I don't dread either of you getting hurt. I am still scared to lose the both of you and you are right: I still don't want to get too close to others. But I finally feel like moving forward again. Maybe the fire that burns in your eyes truly is not just a reflection in mine, but my own will, too. Thank you for believing in me and entrusting me with this. Things are taken care of over here – yet I cannot wait to come back home.

Please hand over the enclosed letter to Hange and have an eye on them. I know they forget to eat whenever they get too focused on their studies. Make them take breaks, too. I'm sure Moblit is giving it his best, but he is too soft with them sometimes. You know how Hange gets...

Cadet: Ackermann, Mikasa

Will certainly take 1st place this year if everything continues as it is. Top physical strength, willpower, and skill. Seems to be in a trio-kind-of-situation with Arlert and Yeager. I see her following the latter most of the time. Haven't seen any comparable skill in any other cadet for the last years ever. Have to recruit her at all costs! SHIGANSHINA SURVIVOR

Cadet: Leonhart, Annie

Lone wolf. Tends to surround herself with Hoover and Reiner Braun from time to time, though. Quiet, but not to be underestimated. Incredible, physical strength and combat skills. Couldn't take her in a one on one without weaponry. Will definitely make Top 3. Skillwise, definitely good to have her in the Scouts. Unsure about her comradeship. Might not have an eye for the bigger picture and others.

Cadet: Arlert, Armin

Lacks physical and fighting abilities in every way possible, but has an incredible mind. Overlooked due to his poor fighting skills, is decent with use of ODM gear, though. Soft and gentle demeanour. Has to rely on help a lot (only explanation why he got through the training until now). STRATEGIST!!! Has proven his intelligence with analysing situations and coming up with tactics during trainings. Needs more time to be convinced about his own strengths. Doesn't believe in himself yet. Oftentimes overlooked by his own peers, too. SHIGANSHINA SURVIVOR

Cadet: Yeager, Eren

Odd cadet. Strives to eliminate titans and shows great willpower to do so. Actual strength and skills have yet to catch up to his vision. Nevertheless, appears to be the "leader" of the trio situation with Ackermann and Arlert. I suspect the other two will join whatever division he joins; claims to certainly join the Scouts. You might want to have a closer look at him when you come visit. He WILL definitely want to talk to you. SHIGANSHINA SURVIVOR

Cadet: ???, Ymir

Hangs around Lenz most of the times. Shown to possess many good qualities; use of ODM, physical abilities. Strength. Hard to look through her, but might end up in the Scouts?

Cadet: Braus, Sasha

Gets in trouble with Shadis a lot (not even intentionally, I promise). Surprisingly skilled with the ODM and a bow. Has her head in the clouds, yet consistently shows decent or more than decent qualities. DO NOT PAIR IN A SQUAD WITH SPRINGER!!! Chaos Could actually achieve a place in the Top 10, if she takes training a bit more serious and Shadis has a good day

Cadet: Kirstein, Jean

Bold and sometimes too hasty. Gets a reality check from Shadis from time to time (rightfully so). Shows good skill with the ODM and could actually become a solid soldier, if given the time to mature a bit more. A bit full of himself, but charming about it.  Might be worth keeping an eye on him and try getting him into the Scouts (wants to join the MP). Probably Top 10.

Cadet: Forster, Floch

Definitely not making Top 10. Nothing exceptional about him. Will have to actively be protected, if he joins the Scouts, or else he'll probably just die on day 1. I suspect him to join the Garrisons. Mere sheep; follower. Has swooned over you to me a few times, annoying. Has sometimes shown slight aggressive behaviour towards others in arguments.

Cadet: Lenz, Christa

Not the strongest, but determined. Sometimes shy, yet strives to overcome it. Surrounded by Ymir a lot; quiet girl, cannot say much about her.

Cadet: Springer, Connie

Has more luck than skill, sometimes. Appears to make it through, though. ENDURANCE (how or why, I do not know). Might profit from a few hours under Levi's command in hopes of putting some sense into this boy. Possible candidate for the Scouts. DO NOT PAIR WITH BRAUS!!! Might make Top 10 if lucky enough

Cadet: Bodt, Marco

Shows great qualities in comradeship. Ordinary fighting and ODM skills. Could be a gain for the Scouts in terms of spirits and community. Unsure about actual fighting skills in case of titan encounter. Possible Top 10 candidate.

Cadet: Hoover, Bertholdt

Quiet, shy. Hangs around Leonhart and Rei Braun a lot. Seems to be following --- Braun especially. He shows great endurance while training, although is not one to lead. Keeps in the back most of the time. I find it difficult to see through him. Surprisingly skilled with smaller weapons and sneaking up on one, despite his height. Friendly demeanour, yet trains and fights very confidently. Possible candidate for the Top 10, probably even Top 5.

Cadet: Mina, Carolina

Ordinary. If surrounded by the right people, will follow and show good comradeship. Might do well in a stronger squad; will need protection and might hesitate during real titan encounter. Probably better off with the Garrisons.

Cadet: Kefka, Franz

Ordinary. Shows normal skills through and through. Typical candidate to join us and not make it too long. Not Top 10.

Cadet: Wagner, Thomas

Ordinary. Will not make Top 10 and probably join the Garrisons.

Cadet: Braun, Reiner

Exceptional physical strength and comradeship. Sees where others are struggling. Willing to help. Caring. Top 5.
