Chapter 4 Needing Answers

Axel

My family and I could not believe that our baby girl is alive. But we have the tests to confirm it. I guess our son Michael felt that this poor girl was connected to him some how. Then to find out his twin has been alive and severely abused. While he has lived a great life, was really hard on him. Now the only thing left to do was call a family meeting with everyone.

North

I can't believe our little girl survived that night. Now I need to find the people or person responsible for all her pain. I look over to my half brother Luke to see he is kicking himself for letting her escape the last time. I feel it in my bones how pissed off I am.

Luke

How could we let our little girl go through this. Yes we thought she was in heaven. This is also a miracle. I feel that we have a second chance to show her how much she is loved.

Owen

We all decided to have some alone time with our baby girl. I have so many questions running through my mind. Like how is she alive? Why can't she speak? What has happened to our little Melody? Who hurt her. I know when we find out, we will do the same things to him or her. Plus they won't live very long after. All morning we keep getting calls from our family and friends. So we decide to call a family meeting. So we call Luke and Norths uncle Taylor. We ask him to bring all the kids in. Plus we call Silas dad and brother. We call Gabe's stepmom Pam. We also get Raven's parents in Russia on a video call. Last we call is Sean's parents. Shit is about to get real.

Raven

How could someone hurt my baby kitten. I am a professional Russian. I will kill them very slowly, and painful. Plus my Dad being the Don of the Russian Mafia. The bastards that hurt my baby kitten will die. After about 30 minutes, most of the family and friends arrived. Some of the young kids are sitting in laps because of all the people here.

Uncle

When I arrived in the conference room, I get a weird and worried feeling deep inside. There is only one reason everyone would be here. Something has happened and it will affect everyone here. When I look at my nephews. The my other chosen family, my nephews and niece. I see tears in all their eyes. I also see some shocked faces. And some relief faces. So I sit down and pick up little Scott and Jewel. Since they were asking for me to pick them up. Then I wait to find out what has happened. That's when I see my old buddy Dr Phill Roberts walk into the front of the room. When he clears his throat everyone shuts up, waiting to see why we are all here.

Dr Roberts

As everyone starts to arrive I get a page that worry's me. Everyone knows not to disturb me. Unless it's a 911 emergency. I have to be here with everyone. As I look down to see why I was paged. My heart sinks, the page says 911 Melody Blackbourne. I don't say anything as I run out of the room. When I get to her bed side I see my Nephew Kevin doing CPR her. The heart monitor is showing a flat, straight line. I take over by giving her an adrenaline shot, plus shock her with a defibrillator. Then I wait a few seconds, I get a beat then flat again. Then I charge the paddles again. I say clear then shock her again. That is when I get a steady heart beat. By this time Dr Sean has been seeing what is going on. He quickly runs up to her checking her over trying to figure why she flat lined on us. He is in completely doctor mode right now. He does this when one of his family or friends are hurt.

Sean

When Dr Roberts gets a page. I remembered he told everyone not to bother him unless it's an emergency. So when he looks down at his pager. His face turns pale. When he looks up at me real quick. I know it's something to do with our little girl. So when he runs out. I freeze for a minute. Then I snap out of it and run to her room. When I get there I see my mentor, Dr Roberts trying to save our baby girl. The first shock of the defibrillator gets one beat. The second shock brings her back. Then I run over to him and start looking why our baby girl flat lined. As we are looking all over. I see her belly has expanded. When I lift her shirt up I notice right away she is bleeding somewhere in her abdomen. We quickly pull up the rails and rush her to surgery. When we get there, I am told I can't go no further since she is my family. I grab my hair and drop to my knees. While crying and also screaming inside. I quickly read lined my family to get here now. Owen is the first to arrive. He slowly bends down to pick me off the floor. Then he sits down with me in his lap, just holding and rocking me. I finally am able to get my emotions under control. At least enough to tell my loves what has happened just now.
