"Steady..." Y/N whispered beside Eladan, her eyes fixed on the distant rabbit. With a deep inhale and an exhale, Eladan let his arrow fly, watching it soar through the air and strike the rabbit right between the eyes.

"Good job, Mellon," she praised, her hand reaching out to pat his head in a gentle gesture of approval. Eladan smiled at the praise, his heart swelling with pride as he walked over to collect the rabbit. "Thank you, my lady," he replied, "we thank you for your sacrifice," both of them said under their breath to now the lifeless rabbit.

They were chatting lightly as they walked, Eladan holding several rabbits in his hands. Suddenly, a rustling noise echoed from the nearby bushes, breaking the peaceful ambiance. Eladan instantly tensed, his senses on alert, and he turned his gaze to her, searching her face for any signs of alarm. she looked down at him calmly.

As the rustling in the bushes grew louder and more insistent, the source of the noise remained unseen, causing Eladan to become increasingly wary. He quickly drew his bow, the string taut, and arrow notched, his eyes scanning the foliage, ready to shoot at whatever might emerge.

Suddenly, a small hobbit burst out from the bushes and stumbled, falling flat on the ground right in front of them.

Gasping for breath, he looked up, only to find himself face-to-face with Y/N's calm expression and the sharp point of an arrow only inches from his face. Eladan was taken aback. His arrow was still ready to fly, but he hesitated, lowering his bow slightly. He glanced at Y/N.

"Well, this is certainly a unique way to meet someone," Y/N said amused, "Hold your fire, Eladan, I doubt this poor soul intends us harm," Y/N said, her eyes never leaving the Hobbit.

Eladan, though hesitant, followed her lead and lowered his bow. watching the hobbit get to his feet."No, no, I don't mean any harm, truly," the hobbit said, his heart racing as he held his hands up in surrender. From the same bushes that the Hobbit had appeared from, 12 dwarves emerged, their weapons held aloft, ready for a fight. Eladan's eyes widened as the dwarves emerged from the bushes, weapons drawn and ready for battle. The scene had escalated quickly, and he tensed once again, his hand instinctively going for an arrow.

Y/N, however, seemed unfazed. She looked at the dwarves, her expression calm and composed.

The dwarves surrounding the hobbit their weapons ready, their eyes fixated on the young elf and the calm woman standing before them.

They tensed, weapons raised and expressions wary, their eyes darting back and forth, assessing the situation and the potential threats posed by the duo. The Hobbit's eyes were wide as he quickly said "Please, forgive their overzeal," The Hobbit pleaded. "They're a bit on edge, that's all. I'm Bilbo Baggins, and these are the dwarves of Erebor."  he tried to explain to the two.

Bilbo quickly said, "Lower your weapon!" The dwarves hesitated for a moment, their eyes still narrowed at the elves. But then, slowly, they began to lower their weapons. Some of them mutter among themselves, but they comply, still eyeing the elf and the woman with caution.

Y/N gave a nod of understanding, her smile widening as she introduced herself. "It's okay Master Baggins, I'm Y/N," she said politely. She then gestured toward the young elf standing beside her. "And this is Eladan."

Eladan gave a measured nod in response, reluctantly lowering his bow. His eyes, still wary, scanned the dwarves, keeping a watchful eye on them just in case.

The tallest dwarves stepped forward, addressing Y/N and Eladan. "It is a pleasure to meet you both, I am Thorin Oakenshield," he said, his gaze lingering on Eladan making the young elf frown.

He then moved on to introduce the other dwarves, gesturing to them one by one. "This is Dwalin, Balin, Fili, Kili, Dori, Nori, Ori, Oin, Gloin, Bifur, Bofur, and Bombur."

Y/N gave a small, polite smile to each dwarf as they were introduced, "quite a group you have here, Master Baggins" she said with a smile, her calm demeanor not wavering in the slightest, making Bilbo look down shyly.

However the younger dwarf, Fili, was giving her a lingering glance, his eyes seeming almost too big for his head. The action didn't go unnoticed by his brother, Kili, who smirked and elbowed him in the shoulder, making a joke amongst themselves.

The banter between the two younger dwarves did not escape Eladan's sharp elven ears. He watched out of the corner of his eye as they whispered amongst themselves, casting sidelong glances at Y/N, When Eladan spotted Fili's lingering gaze, he felt a pang of annoyance, his face twisted in a frown. he glances up at the lady, seeing her converse with Bilbo and Thorin.

Eladan instinctively shuffled forward, placing his small frame in front of Y/N, her hand automatically on his shoulder, Eladan's figure shielding her from Fili's gaze. He shot a narrow-eyed glare at Fili, his expression guarded.

After exchanging a few words with Bilbo and Thorin, Y/N suggested, "You all look weary. We have a camp not too far from here. Allow us to treat you to a meal. "

Despite the Dwarves' wariness, they couldn't help but be tempted by the offer of a proper meal. Their journey had been long and tiring, and they were all hungry. Thorin considered the offer for a moment before nodding his acceptance. "We would be grateful for your generosity," he said, his voice gruff but polite.

"Come, follow us," Y/N said, her voice gentle as she began walking back to their campsite. With Bilbo at her side and Eladan trailing shortly behind, "My lady," Eladan protested softly, his concern evident in his voice, "Are you sure about this?"

"It will be fine, Eladan. Trust me." Her words were confident, and the tone brooked no argument.

Eladan reluctantly nodded his acceptance, his voice barely above a whisper, only Y/N could hear him "Yes, my lady." making Y/N smiled amused at him, and she continued talking to Bilbo.
