"Da...Zhuang!?"
The two men pronounced the two words with difficulty, confused and shocked. When did their majestic and decisive general get such a name?
They all had blank looks on their faces.
But the shock did not last long. The two quickly realized that something was wrong. After much persuasion, they finally convinced Gu Yinzhou that the disappearance of the second son of the Jiang family had nothing to do with them. Gu Yinzhou let go of the man with alertness in his eyes. Although he did not sense a threat from them, he instinctively did not want to disrupt his peaceful life with Jiang Zefeng, and was not welcome to these two outsiders.
A safe distance was maintained between the two sides.
Their tearful process was interrupted. They were glad that Gu Yinzhou was still alive, but seeing him like this, it seemed that he had forgotten them at all.
One of them was impatient and wanted to explain as quickly as possible, "General, you and your subordinates go back first, those bastards..."
He looked anxious, but Gu Yinzhou had a cold and unmoved expression, leaning against the door frame and looking at him. The man was talking dryly, and the other person pulled him.
"General, what do you want me to do to make you believe me? Everything I say is true!"
Gu Yinzhou: "What evidence do you have?"
"The evidence... the evidence is the jade pendant on Jiang's neck. It's yours! How dare he..."
The man was about to get angry again, but another person who was more stable interrupted him and continued:
"Your name is engraved on the back of the jade pendant. My wife asked for it specially for you—"
"Madam?" Gu Yinzhou interrupted him abruptly when he heard this. "Who is the madam you are talking about?"
And when he learned that the "Madam" they were talking about was his mother, he unconsciously breathed a sigh of relief. The jade pendant was indeed engraved with words. They talked about the origins of some scars on his body. After hearing this, he had already judged the truthfulness of their words.
After hitting his head last night, he has been feeling unwell. His head feels swollen and fragments of memories come flooding back to him whenever he is distracted. He didn't say anything because he didn't want to make Jiang Zefeng worry.
Hearing them talk about these things, his head started to hurt again.
The morning breeze was cool, smoke was rising from every household, and the fragrance could be smelled through the door. Some people went to the fields before dawn. Uncle Chen called Jiang Zefeng over, just because of what happened last night.
A quarter of an hour later, Jiang Zefeng was walking on the road carrying a small basket. Occasionally, he met someone who greeted him and he greeted them with a smile.
When he arrived at the door of his house, he pushed it open and heard some noise in the kitchen.
"Brother." Jiang Zefeng went to the kitchen carrying the basket.
At the kitchen door, Gu Yinzhou was bending over to pick up a basin on the ground, his waist arched into a beautiful arc. He heard the sound and raised his head. For some reason, Jiang Zefeng felt that his expression was a little strange.
"Ah, I'm back," he said.
"Yeah." Jiang Zefeng walked closer, "What's going on?"
"When pouring water, your hands are slippery." said Gu Yinzhou.
