The sky was gloomy and the light was not very good. Yi Chenye stood at the window with the curtains slightly open, looking at the people in the back garden.

It rained last night and all the branches and leaves in the back garden were wet. In the early morning, a faint "meow" sound was heard in the garden. The maid called Lan Sui over and after a long search, she found that it was a small orange cat that had fallen into the drainage gap.

There were three people surrounding there at the moment. The maid bent over and looked in. At the innermost, Lan Sui was wearing a pair of gloves. He took off his suit jacket and let the maid hold it in her hand. He bent over to get the cat out.

When he bent over, his waist was tensed, making the shirt stick to his body. After the clothes were soaked with dew, the shirt outlined the lines of his muscles more clearly.

Yi Chenye took this whole scene in. He had sensitive ears and could hear the cat's sweet voice even though he was on the second floor.

There are often stray cats and dogs here. The maid in the house will feed the poor little creatures passing by, so the stray cats and dogs like to come here.

After a while, he saw Lan Sui coming out with an orange kitten in his gloved hands. The black hair on his forehead was wet and fell between his eyebrows, as if adding a few points of tenderness.

The little orange cat in his hands was wet and a little dirty with mud, looking earthy and ugly.

A look of disdain flashed across Yi Chenye's eyes.

"Towel." He heard Lan Sui say to the maid.

The maid at the side hurriedly handed over a towel. Lan Sui took the towel, wiped the little guy's head, and wrapped it around its body.

This towel belongs to Lan Sui. The maid mentioned it and Lan Sui said it was okay. "Its paw was pricked. Do you have any medicine at home?"

The little orange cat snuggled obediently in Lan Sui's arms, shivering from the cold. It looked up at Lan Sui and meowed, its baby voice so sweet that it made people feel pity for it.

"Tsk." Yi Chenye sneered and murmured, "You know how to please people."

Yi Chenye has never been liked by cats and dogs, and he doesn't like to get close to these little things.

"Butler Lan Sui..." the maid said, "Go and dry your hair first."

The little orange cat didn't know what was going on, and suddenly its fur stood up and it struggled for a few times. Lan Sui raised his hand and stroked its head to comfort it. After being stroked a few times, the little orange cat finally calmed down.

Lan Sui subconsciously looked towards the second floor.

The curtains were drawn tightly, and no image inside the room could be seen.

Yi Chenye had his back to the curtains, his whole body tense, his jaw slightly raised, his breathing weak. After a few seconds, he opened the curtains a little and looked outside. He happened to see Lan Sui carrying the little orange cat into the room. A hint of hostility flashed across his drooping brows.

The lights in the living room were turned on. Lan Sui gave the little orange cat to the maid to take care of it, changed his clothes and glanced at his watch. Yi Chenye had not come down yet. He was about to go upstairs to wake him up when he saw someone coming down from upstairs.

He was dressed in a suit and tie, with a dark face without a smile, looking distant and indifferent, and seemed to be in a bad mood.

Lan Sui said "Good morning" with his usual smile on his face.
