With Yi Chenye supervising beside him, Lan Sui did not pick up his phone again. He had slept for too long and was not really tired. He just felt tired and could not exert much strength.
The dim light at the head of the bed was on, and Lan Sui's quilt was very warm. Yi Chenye had not closed his eyes yet. Lan Sui manually made him close his eyes. His hand covered Yi Chenye's eyelids, and his palm was gently brushed by his eyelashes, which made him feel a little itchy.
The hospital ward was very quiet and the corridor outside was empty. The two were alone in a room. Strictly speaking, this was their second time sleeping in the same bed together, but there didn't seem to be anything wrong.
Lan Sui felt that Yi Chenye closed his eyes. After a while, he took his hand away and turned his head to look at his face.
I watched it for a long, long time.
His bed was too warm, and the scent was too soothing. Yi Chenye had just planned to close his eyes, but he fell asleep without thinking, and slept very soundly.
When he woke up, it was already seven o'clock the next morning.
It was dawn outside the window and a cell phone rang in the ward. Lan Sui quickly reached out and pressed the mute button, but Yi Chenye was still woken up. He opened his eyes and saw Lan Sui wearing slippers, holding the cell phone in one hand and a splint hanging in front of him with the other hand, walking outside.
Yi Chenye got up.
The covers slipped off him.
The IV bottle had already been emptied. Lan Sui did not wake him up last night. This hospital bed was not big enough for two grown men to sleep on. Lan Sui slept on the accompanying bed, so all the bedding on this bed was covered on Yi Chenye.
Yi Chenye pinched the quilt on his body and roughly guessed, "Where to?"
Lan Sui stopped and turned around, "Sorry to have woken you up. I'm going to answer a call."
Since Yi Chenye had woken up, there was no need for Lan Sui to go out. He answered the phone here. The person on the other end of the phone was talking about the company. Lan Sui had disappeared for a day and a night. Although Yi Chenye was there, he spent most of his time in the hospital with Lan Sui.
Lan Sui sat on the edge of the bed, a coat draped over his shoulders, hanging loosely down.
"Assistant Lante, are you okay? I heard you had a broken bone." the other side said.
Lan Sui: "Well, nothing serious."
The person on the other end asked him if he knew where Yi Chenye was, saying that he had not been able to be contacted last night and there was a meeting today and he was needed to show up. Lan Sui nodded a few times, said he knew, and looked up at Yi Chenye.
Yi Chenye got out of bed, put on his coat, and lifted the quilt.
Lan Sui hung up the phone, "Where's your cell phone?"
Yi Chenye touched his pocket, took out his phone and pressed it twice, "It's out of battery."
"There is a meeting at ten o'clock today." Lan Sui said.
Yi Chenye said "hmm" and asked Lan Sui what he wanted to eat in the morning.
Lan Sui: "..."
There were toiletries in the bathroom, so Lan went in and brushed his teeth and washed his face with one hand. He injured his right hand, but he was comfortable using both hands, so it didn't matter.
