Chapter 5 : New vamp

The next day Iris, Elena and Bonnie are walking around the outside of the school, helping set up the carnival as Bonnie turns to the two other girls. "Katherine looked just like you, it was freakish" Bonnie states to Elena. "She is my ancestor," Elena replies. "Hey, I moved the student booth into the cafeteria" she informs, trying to change the subject as Iris watches Bonnie and Elena whilst leaning against the wall beside them and sucking on a lollipop she compelled off of a kid.

"Your vampire ancestor and she didn't just resemble you like a family member would. She was you" Bonnie corrects in disbelief. "Duh, cause their doppelgangers" Iris comments as Bonnie rolls her eyes. "I don't know, I can't explain it. It's creepy, that's all I got" Elena remarks.

"How do you know she's not still out there pretending to be you?" Bonnie asks.
"I don't but I could sit here and be tortured by the not-knowing or I could get these prizes to the ring toss" Elena says, "I vote neither" Iris speaks up. "Have you talked to Damon since he killed Jeremy or tried to kill Jeremy?" Bonnie asks as Elena shakes her head. "No Bonnie, I haven't and I won't and I don't want to talk about Damon or anything else that's vampire related okay?" Elena says.

"I'm human. And I have to do human stuff. Otherwise, I'm going to go crazy" Elena states, "preach sister" Iris sarcastically comments, making Elena let out a slight giggle. "Okay, I'm sorry, I'll focus. We have to make Caroline proud or she will kill us. I don't know how she does all of this" Bonnie says. "Well because she's not human, obviously" Elena jokes, "Obviously" Iris and Bonnie say with giggles.

Hours later, its now nightfall and Iris, Elena and Bonnie are finishing up setting up the carnival. "The ring toss is out of Bart and Homer dolls and Team Jacob T's" Bonnie states, "Okay, I can grab some from the science club. Also we lost a speaker in the karaoke room" Elena replies.
"Hey, all good Elena, take a beat, look around. This is a huge success" Iris says with a smile, "You mean I can do more than just freak vampire havoc?" Elena questions, "Go figure" Bonnie replies as the trio's eyes drift over to a man setting up a stall.

"Hey, Carter, right? You're with the carnival" Elena greets. "That'll be me," Carter replies with a smile. "Okay, great" Elena states. "Wow, what do you need beautiful?" He questions, looking at Bonnie who has a smile painted on her face. "What do you know about karaoke speakers?" Bonnie asks. "Why don't you show me the problem?" he says. "Yeah Bonnie, show him the problem" Iris says as she encourages Bonnie with her eyes as Bonnie walks off with Carter.

About half an hour later Stefan and Iris walk down the school corridor as they make their way to Damon who is staring at Tyler arm wrestle people. "You're lurking" Stefan states. "I'm observing," Damon corrects. "More like obsessing," Iris adds.

"He's got strength," Damon informs as Tyler wins another wrestling match. " He's a triple letter varsity athlete, of course he has strength. You're reaching" Stefan explains. "I bet I can take you" Mason states to Tyler as he walks in. "Enter the uncle," Damon comments. "The hot uncle" Iris comments as Damon and Stefan both turn to give her glares.

Mason beats Tyler as the crowd around the Salvatores abrupt in cheers, "Okay, he's the champ, who wants to go next?" Tyler announces. "Stefan wants to go" Iris states as Damon nods his head in agreement. "Yeah, sure, I'll give it a shot" Stefan says as he walks up to Mason.
"Get him Stef!" Damon yells out in encouragement, "come on!" Iris adds.

"My siblings over there thinks I can beat you" Stefan says to Damon as he gets in position. "Your Siblings are wrong" Mason states as they start arm wrestling and Mason  beats him as Stefan walks over and rejoins Damon and Iris.
"You didn't put in any effort at all" Damon says with an annoyed sigh, "Yeah, actually I did" Stefan says making Iris and Damon look at each other with concern. "Come with me" Damon orders as Iris and Stefan follow their older brother around the corner of the corridor.
