Chapter 4: The bitch is back

Iris hated to admit it but she grew a strong friendship with the blonde girl, Caroline made her happy and feel like she belonged, and she wasn't going to let her die. As Iris bursts through the hospital doors she's met with Damon and Liz Forbes, "Iris-" Damon starts, "where is she?" Iris asks as Liz looks down, "she's in surgery now" Liz says, "wills he be okay?" Iris asks, "we-we don't know" Liz stutters as Damon drags her off to the side as Elena and Bonnie walks up to them.
"How's Caroline?" Elena asks, "She's weak. They don't know if she's going to make it" Bonnie says as Iris looks down at her feet. "What? Elena asks. "Is there something that you can do? Like a spell or something?" Iris asks Bonnie, "She doesn't know how, do you?" Damon snaps, "No, I don't" Bonnie confesses.

"No, you don't because it took Emily years to learn a spell like that" Damon informs, "Well, I can take down a vampire, that spell was easy to learn" Bonnie snaps back. "I can give Caroline some blood," Damon offers. "No, no way" Elena shakes her head. "No, just enough to heal her. She will be safe in the hospital and it will be out of her system in a day, she will be better Elena" Iris says, backing up her brother's suggestion.
"It's too risky, I can't agree to that" Elena says, "this isn't about you" Iris snaps, "Iris is right Elena, Do it" Bonnie says. "This is Caroline. We can't let her die. Do it" Bonnie says. "If I do this, you and me, call a truce?" Damon asks, "No. But you'll do it anyway. For your sister and Elena" Bonnie replies.

Damon walks of to go give Caroline blood and after about fifteen minutes he comes back to Elena and Iris, "I know this is probably the last thing you want to do right now but we should talk about what happened tonight" Damon says to Iris, "Yeah, one of the tomb vampires got into the house and almost killed John" Elena replies. "What? When? What are you talking about? After I left?" Damon asks, "You were there?" Elena and Iris ask at the same time. "Come on, Elena, you know I was" Damon hints, "When were you at the house?" Elena asks, "Really? Earlier, on the porch, we were talking, all cathartic, feelings exposed. Come on, we kissed, Elena" Damon says, "what the hell!" Iris scholds.

"Okay, I don't have time for this Damon Elena dismisses, "If you want to forget what happened fine but I can't" Damon says as Iris slaps his shoulder, "Elena, I came as soon as I got your message. How is John?" Jenna asks as she runs over to them. "Where have you been?" Elena asks. "At the fire department, I had to fill out a report. I told you earlier" Jenna says, "No, you didn't" Elena says as Iris and Damon exchange glances. "Yes, I did" Jenna protests "No, Jenna, you didn't" Elena repeats, "Yes, I did" Jenna repeats again.

"Uh oh" Iris says, coming to realization as her and Damon share worried glances of realization, "oh boy" Damon sighs, "Mmm, you got to be kidding me." Damon says, "what?" Elena asks, "the bitch is back" Iris answers as she walks off and Elena looks at Damon for answers but he just follows after his sister.

Meanwhile Stefan is downstairs in the gilbert house as Katheirne walks in although Stefan thinks its Elena. "Hey! How was Caroline?" Stefan asks, "Not good." she answers as she embraces him in a hug, "Just what I needed" she adds with a reliving sigh.

"Katherine" Stefan grunts as he pushes her off of him, "At least I fooled one of you" she teases, referring to kissing Damon. Stefan speeds to her and pushes her up against the wall, "feel any better?" she teases as she hears the door open and speeds out of the back door of the Gilbert house.

"Stefan?" Real Elena questions, "Elena" Stefan greets in a distressed voice. "What happened?" Elena asks, "Katherine happened" Iris answers with an eye roll. "Did she say what she wanted?" Damon questions Stefan as he shakes his head in response. "Woman certainly knows how to make an entrance" Damon remarks. "She said she fooled one of us, at least. What does that mean?" Stefan asks as Damon awkwardly looks at Iris for help but she shakes her head.
