Things in the Mystery Shack were... boring, to say the least. We continued to stay at the Mystery Shack, Uncle Stanford being very kind and generous. Rowan went into the town a few times over the last couple of days, in hopes to find even the slightest clue of our dad. Meanwhile, I stayed at the Mystery Shack and helped out where I could.
Turns outs, Uncle Stanford was a con artist and the Mystery Shack was a big ol' hoax to get money. I mean, understandable. Money is money and it's not like he's not in a business, the business is just a scam that's all. But it was fun to work there, he'd give breaks when needed and we could practically goof off. I met the other workers, Wendy and Soos. Soos is funny, he just makes light hearted jokes and can be quite comedic. Wendy, who's a couple years younger than me, is very chill. She is a chatty but also not, if that makes any sense. She talks to me, but not too much. I think she can just sense that I'm not a people person.
Dipper found a book, and he's calling it 'the journal'. It's a big red book with a golden hand that has six fingers and the number three written on it. Obviously, this is the third and there's two more before this one but Dipper doesn't know where they are. He also doesn't know who the author is, and has made it his mission for the Summer to find the author. No idea why it matters that much to him, but that's okay. Everybody has their thing to keep them out of trouble.
Currently, it's 11:27 at night, don't ask me why I'm still up at this time of night, and I'm just starting to doze off into a quiet slumber. The sound of the slight breeze whooshing past the trees lulling me into a deep sleep.
It was completely pitch black. Nothing in sight, no noise around me and it seemed like if I tried to say something then it would echo until the end of time itself. I sat there, alone and in complete darkness. Well, I guess this is it. How this is supposed to be? Completely alone and in total darkness, not even my brother here. Well, I guess I have always burdened him. He never got to have real friends, and it's all my fault...
"Well, that's a horrible thing to say about yourself kid", a voice spoke from somewhere.
