Author Nore: Hey everyone, sorry for the late update to the story. If you have not seen the announcement on my account, my life has been throwing me a couple of curve balls and so wasn't able to update until now. Sorry for making you all wait and I hope you enjoy.
We made the walk through the forest to the Mystery Shack in silence, but not one of the awkward ones. It was a comfortable silence, the perfect ones where it felt like neither of us had to say anything. The birds weaved through the trees above, chittering amongst one another, and the breeze was a peaceful one that brought out the scent of pine trees.
"So, what are your family like?", Bill asked. The question took me by slight surprise but I decided to answer none the less. "Well, most of them I don't really know anything about. I have a twin brother, Rowan, who is a people person. He knows how to make people smile and knows exactly what to say, unlike me. I have two cousins, Mabel and Dipper, that I don't know much about. Mabel is like Rowan but more chaotic. She likes everything girly, glitter and boys. Dipper is like me, but he has found this journal in the forest and that's how I found out that you weren't a figure of my imagination. Then there's my uncle Stanford, and he's a wild-card at best.", I explain and then feel slightly guilty for ranting.
We go back to being silent, before I have a question of my own. "So... Considering that you are a creature from the journal Dipper likes to read, I'm going to guess that we can't use your actual name. So... How are we going to do this?", I ask Bill. He stops walking and I stop a step after him, being a little in front of him. He processed the information I gave him, having a face of pure contemplation.
He then looks up at me with a smile. "We'll just use the name after the constellation that humans haven't yet discovered...", he paused, his smile widening.
"William."
Another author note: In this AU, I have taken some of the book of bill lore and decided to make the constellation of William an actual constellation in this story.
