Love like no other

I didn't particularly know what I wanted but my dress was white ballerina like dress with a big bow on the back.

"These fye" he said picking up a pair of black with gold lining kitten heels

"They cute but my dress white and my hair gon be teal or purple" I said

"Oh shii where you going ?if you don't mind me asking"

"My birthday dinner"

"Wrrrd Happy early birthday den"

"How old you turning?"

"Thank you & 20 " I smiled at him

"What's your name by the way ?"

"You can call me jay and im 21 , what's yours ?" He answered

"Ma'kylin"

"Pretty name for a pretty girl" he smiled

Normally this woulda made me blush but for some reason it didn't impress me at all .

"Thank you" I said picking up a heel off the display

"You think these would match my dress ?" I asked

" uhhh well what does your dress look like" he asked making me completely forget I didn't show him

"Whoops my bad , forgot to show you"

I showed him the picture of my dress from off the website

"Period you ate that " he said putting up the peace sign and doing duck lips

"Oh hell no " I laughed putting my phone back in my purse

Honestly I like him being here more than being here by myself and being nervous what to get

We looked at different heels and I tried of more shoes for the next 10 minutes trying to decide which one I should get and would look best with my dress. I looked on one side of the store and he looked on the other.

"What about dese" he said walking to me with a pink and white box covered in a butterflies

"Holl em up" I said still mainly focusing my attention on a pair of open toe heels I tried on

"Come here"

He said getting on one knee to put the heel on my foot. It was a a pair of white open toe heels with a ribbon that laced up around the ankle and had a Velcro bow on the back. The heel wasnt too high so I'm sure I could walk in them fine, plus They were damn near the same color as my dress and were gorgeous.

"You like em?" He asked looking up at me with a smile

"Yess they're gorgeous" I said admiring them while moving my ankle around so I could see all the angles of it

"We getting em ?"

"Yes these perfect, thank you" I smiled opening my arms to hug him.

I took the heel off , placed it back into the box and we headed to the register to check out.

"Is this all you'll be getting today?" The cashier asked

"Yes ma'am" I said

"$124" she said placing the heels in a bag and I opened my purse to get my card out

"Chill ma , I told you I got em" he said tapping his phone on the card scanner

"Thank you" I said feeling bad.

"Fasho , but I gotta get back to work my break ended like five minutes ago" he said hugging me before jogging out the store.

The lady finished bagging up my stuff and placed a few extra things inside before handing it back to me.
I thanked her than walked to the smoke shop to get a cake bar. I usually got my carts from this store because they didn't ID and I was still under 21

Once I was finished with all I had needed to get I placed my keys in my hand and began walking to the front to leave. When I walked past footlocker glanced in to see if jay was there but he wasn't so I saw no point in stopping in.

I stopped by the food court to get some Chinese food because I was craving sticky white rice and I knew the sink at home was probably full of dirty dishes and if I didn't get anything to eat out I wasn't going to eat for the rest of the day. By time I got outside it was already dark and the mall was ever more empty than it was before. When I got to my car I placed my bags in the backseat before getting in and starting my way home.
