We pulled into a parking space and aushanti turned the car off.
I took a few selfies completely In love with the color of my hair and how it blended with my skin. Ja'laiyah had picked out a 28 inch teal wig and styled it in loose body wave curls,  a deep side part and some simple edges.

"Girl you look sexyy " kamiyah said as I step out the car

"Right and that lace is melted" ja'laiyah added on

"Thank you girlfriends" I said blowing both of them a kiss.

"I know we supposed to be shopping and looking at niggas but I'm hungry as hell" I said as we walked through the food court.

"Worddd , kamiyah wasn't yo momma supposed to cook dis morning?" Ja'laiyah asked reminding me she was supposed to.

"She did, I told munna to tell yall the food was in the oven" she said frowning

"Damnn" aushanti replied also frowning

"Im gon beat his ass" kamiyah said as she pulled her phone out her purse and began texting.

" already it's still there when we get back though" Ja'liyah said as we got in line for chil fil a

Dinner was the next event in line so we made sure not to get anything that would fill us too much. We sat down with our food and my phone began ringing.

"Mom"

I answered my phone up and was immediately greeted by screaming and yelling causing me to jerk the phone away from my ear.

"Where the fuck you at? And who the fuck do you think you are?" my mother scream.

"Momma what are you talking about, it's my birthday I texted you last night I was gon be out all weekend" I said turning up my nose

"So you think you grown huh? , popping pussy to every nigga that ask." She said with a slightly lowered tone but still almost screaming into the phone.

"I'm out with kamiyah and nem , what are you trippin for? It's my birthday momma I've been telling you about this for months " I said looking down at the table too embarrassed to look my friends.

"You's a fuckin lie , you think you too good to spend ya birthday with me? Remember that don't even come home unless it's to pack up all your shit."

"Momma -!"  before I could even finish speaking she hung up in my face!

"I love you kay , but you momma need an ass whoopin and I'm gon be the one to give em to her " ja'liyah laughed trying to lighten the mood.

Ja'laiyah never liked my momma, she was the first person that told me that my momma was weird. I had been so used to the yelling and screaming I thought it was normal most of my life.

"Girl I wish" I said laughing trying to blink back my tears

"She just said you couldn't come back home?" Aushanti said with shocked look on her face.

"Bra yes I don't even know where imma go"

"Girl you know you can come stay wimmie" ja'laiyah said dipping a fry in Polynesian sauce.

"Thanks boo, but ion trynna be in yo way or get you in trouble or nun." I replied to her

"Girl my people barely even ever home to see you, they won't give a fuck"

"Thank you" I said smiling at her.

Out of the whole group me and Ja'laiyah were the closest.

She was my best friend since 7th grade and in 8th we met aushanti and kamiyah turning our duo into a friend group. I love these girls like sisters and they never let me done or treat me weird. Which I'm forever grateful to have people like them in my life.

Once finished eating we threw our stuff away and headed towards bath and body works. They were having that big buy one get one sale and I loved their perfumes and lotions.

While walking there like four people told me happy birthday or complimented my hair and to be honest I loved the attention. I felt so pretty and appreciated. I wanted nothing else to try and ruin my day, so with that being said I posted a selfie on my instagram story and then powered my phone off.

"Yooo blue hair" I heard from behind me and the whole group turned to look

My eyes met his familiar face and a smile grew on my face.

"You doing yo big one okay period" he said walking up to us.
I gave him a hug and his arms wrapped tight around my lower waist.

"Yall this jay" I said introducing him to my friend group

They greeted each other , exchanged names and so on.

"You posed to be at work right now?" I asked seeing he wasn't in his uniform

"Nahh I'm with my sis right now" he said pointing to a brown skin girl with waist length braids and a forever 21 bag in her hand.

And right as I glanced over at her she began walking towards us.

"Heyy " kamiyah said trying to be friendly

She didn't say anything back just scrunched up her nose and looked at us.

"Are you coming ?" She said clearly with an attitude in her voice.

"Yea just chill" he replied

"This my lil sister quanteria (qwan-tear-EAh)"

"Quanteria this , makylin and her crew"

"Mhmm" she said poking out her bottom lip then nodding uninterested

"Youne gon say hi or sum?" He said raiding his eye brow and scrunching up his nose at her.

She just pulled out her phone and began doing something on it, seemingly having no interest in talking or meet us.

"Ion know wha her problem is , I'll catch yall later. And happy birthday to yo fine ass" he said waving quanteria on then walking away.

"Was she weird or am I trippin?" Ja'laiyah asked looking between the three of us.

"She def was" aushanti said agreeing with her

We continued on with our shopping and so on enjoying our time spent together.
