REPEATED MISTAKES: Episode 5 - The Fight

After the call ended, Tiana filled Travis in on everything. Travis wasn’t happy—he never liked Tom, and Tom had never liked him either.

By 4:00 p.m., Sarah Tanner had finished Mrs. Wen’s surgery. She discovered that Mrs. Wen didn’t have a goiter, as she was told. Instead, she was suffering from an internal throat injury. Mrs. Wen survived. Sarah called Travis to pick her up, and he said he’d be there shortly after dropping Tiana off at her home.

When Travis arrived at the hospital, Sarah ran to hug him with a wide smile. "She survived!" she exclaimed.

"Not exactly shocking news," Travis replied flatly.

This time, Travis was driving a black Bugatti Centodieci. They both got into the car and headed home. When Sarah arrived, she searched for Mr. Tony all over her house but couldn’t find him.

"Who are you looking for?" Travis called from the living room.

"A friend," she answered.

"You didn’t tell me you had a friend living with you," Travis said, confused.

"Yeah, Mr. Tony. He moved in Sunday night," she replied.

"Wow, that’s my dad’s name," Travis said, raising an eyebrow. "Anyway, babe, my uncle died, so... there’s going to be a long ceremony. You’ll meet my cousins, and you’ll have to come with me to every family dinner until all the burial traditions are done."

"Okay, but which uncle died?" Sarah asked.

"Mr. Tyler, my father’s younger brother," Travis said. "I’m heading home now. I ordered food for you—make sure you eat." He moved toward the door.

"No kiss?" Sarah asked, disappointed, expecting him to turn back.

But what she heard only upset her more. "Sorry, no kiss," Travis called out as he left.

Travis went home, and shortly after, the delivery guy brought Sarah her food. But where the hell was Tony? she wondered. She wished he’d come back—a conversation with him would make her feel better. After waiting for a while, she fell asleep.

Meanwhile, elsewhere, Tony was enraged.

"Why didn’t she die?" Tony asked his younger brother, Tyler.

"How should I know?" Tyler replied.

Tyler, the youngest of the brothers, had a more playful, lighthearted nature. He often behaved like a child and knew how to avoid trouble. He was everything Tony wasn’t—carefree and fun to be around.

Tony, on the other hand, was seething. His blood was boiling, and he struggled to keep his composure. He knew an angel had interfered with his plan, and the thought of summoning one down crossed his mind.

"Don’t you dare call an angel down. I’m not backing you up," Tyler said, reading Tony’s thoughts.

"Zip it. What do you know?" Tony snapped.

"I know he’ll beat you," Tyler said with a grin. Tyler was skilled at keeping out of trouble, but Tony? He thrived in it.

Tony climbed to the roof, where Angel Michael awaited.

"What was that?" Tony demanded.

"I’m not going to sit by and watch you kill innocent people. You’ve done enough. A hundred people in six months is insane. I can’t let you keep doing that," Angel Michael replied, standing firm.

"Did God send you?" Tony asked, eyeing him.

"No. I couldn’t just stand by and watch her die. Besides, Sarah prayed, so I had to act," Michael responded casually, knowing his calm tone was irritating Tony. After a brief silence, Michael turned to leave.

"You’re jobless and stupid," Tony muttered under his breath.

"What did you say?" Michael turned back, anger flashing in his eyes.

"I said," Tony stepped closer, staring him down, "you’re very stupid and jobless..."
