It's been a week since Astra's birthday and right now we are heading to the Williams Clothing lines for the second day of pictorial. Aside from being a model kasi ay ako na din ang nagfeature ng damit for advertising.
"Hey are you okay?" I asked Astra. She looks pale and extra quiet right now and I'm starting to get worried.
"Yeah." She simply answered with a little smile on her lips.
These past few days, she changed a lot. Bihira na kaming mag-away at matino na rin siyang sasagot lalo na kapag kaming dalawa lang. Pero kapag maraming tao sa paligid at magkasama kami ay dumidistansiya ito na parang hindi kami close. Which I clearly understand naman. She wants privacy and I'm willing to give it to her.
I lean closer to her and touch her forehead, she's hot, literally hot.
"You have fever. Bakit di mo sinabi sakin? Kumain ka na ba?" Sunod sunod na tanong ko na ikinatawa nito.
"I'm good baby girl you don't have to worry about me." Nakangiting sagot nito na ikinasimangot ko.
"You don't have to act strong when you're with me. It's okay to show your weakness and I am willing to comfort and take care of you Astra." Seryosong sabi ko na ikinatitig niya sakin.
"I know. But seriously I'm okay."
"Fine. But let me know if you're not feeling well so that I can cancel my appointment today just to take care of you."
"Opo baby."
Umayos siya ng upo at isinandal ang ulo niya sa balikat ko. Hinawakan ko na lang ang ulo niya at binigyan siya ng halik sa noo. We're not in a relationship but we're acting like we owned each other. We kiss, hold hands, take care of each other but we don't have label.
"Sinong kasama mo sa bahay niyo ngayon?" I asked.
"I'm alone, why?"
"Sinong mag-aalaga sayo kung ganun?" Kunot-noong tanong ko na ikinalingon niya sakin.
"Sabi mo ikaw." Nakangiting sagot nito. "Joke lang kaya ko sarili ko. No need to worry."
"But you're sick! My goodness Astra!" Bulalas ko dahil nagagawa niya pang magbiro sa lagay niyang yan.
"I only have fever because of the rain yesterday, it's nothing serious baby."
"Bakit ka kasi nagpaulan?"
"May importante po kasi akong inasikaso pag uwi ko kahapon at dahil nakabike lang ako ay inabot ako ng ulan." Paliwanag nito.
"Dapat sinabi mo para inihatid na lang kita."
"I don't want to bother you that much baby. Saka okay lang talaga ako hindi ko ikakamatay ang lagnat na to."
"Ma'am nandito na po tayo." Manong said that stops me from ranting.
"Let's go baby. Don't get mad, I'm sorry." Malambing na sabi pa nito nang makababa na si manong.
She caress my cheek and pull me closer to her to give me a hug.
"Can we stay like this forever? I love your warmth, it gives me comfort." Bulong niya habang hinihimas ang ulo ko.
"We can if you want." I answered. Binitawan niya ako at tinititigan ako pagkatapos ay binigyan niya ako ng matamis na ngiti. Yung totoong ngiti na walang ikinakatakot at walang itinatago. Pangalawang beses ko pa lang yun nakikita ang una ay noong birthday niya at sobrang ganda niya talaga kapag ganito.
"Am I too clingy? Sorry. I'm always like this when I'm sick." Paliwanag nito na inilingan ko lang.
"I like this attitude of yours. Hindi ka masungit pero hindi ko gugustuhing araw araw kang may sakit."
