It had been a week since you started UA. Your mom had been gone for two days, and when she returned, she didn't speak to you. You didn't care though, you quite liked the peace.
You had begun to make friends with everyone... well, almost everyone. Bakugo's "hatred" for you seemed to grow by day, but you laughed it off, finding his loud anger rather amusing.
As you headed to school for your next week, you once again, plugged in your earbuds and began listening to music on your walk to the station. You got to school what felt like rather quickly and walked to the large building.
As you approached, you saw Mina hanging out by the entrance, talking to Sero and Kirishima, who you had began to befriend. You smiled thinking about how you were getting along with your classmates, shoving away the worry that previously held you in a chokehold.
"Hey guys!" You waved as you walked toward them.
"Hey Tanaki!" Sero called.
"(Y/N)!" Mina shouted, rushing to you to engulf you in a hug. She had become quite fond of you, as you her. You guys were just about best friends, and you truly enjoyed her bubbly presence.
"Pinky!" You giggled as she hugged you. You still kept the name you had given her when you first met, saving her from the robot.
"I HAVE LIKE THE SUPER, BEST, AWESOMEST IDEA IN THE WORLD!" She exclaimed excitedly.
She is so adorable
"Tell me, tell me!"
"We need to exchange numbers! All of us!" She squealed.
The thought had never occurred to you before as you had never really gotten close enough to anyone to share numbers. The idea of swapping numbers with the people you were beginning to call your closest friends, made you smile.
You pulled out your phone and unlocked it, and handed it to Mina. "You have to let me pick your contact name though!" You snickered.
"Well, DUH!" She laughed. She handed her phone back to you, her number in a contact selection spot. You put her name in as 'pinky😘💗👽'. You thought the name was fitting.
"My turn my turn!" She said, handing you her phone. You put your number in, and just like Mina did, you handed it back with the name selection empty. She put your name as 'my hero 😍💗🪽.' You giggled at the sentiment.
You turned to Kirishima and Sero who were waiting eagerly. You could tell by their puppy-dog eyes and how they were jumping up and down enthusiastically. "Do you guys want to exchange numbers too?" You asked with a smirk.
"YES!" They said simultaneously.
After getting both their numbers, to which you named Kirishima 'manliest of them all🪨💪' and Sero 'walmart spiderman 🕸️', you walked with them to class.
Once you arrived, you prepared yourself for the yelling that occurred every single time you walked into your homeroom class.
"Hi, Bakugo." You rolled your eyes as he began his shouts. You had gotten used to the roaring by now, although, you weren't sure what you did exactly that ticked him off so badly. As you sat at your desk, Kirishima turned to face you.
"Have you met Denki yet?" He asked.
"I don't think so, he's the one that gets all dumb dumb when he overuses his quirk, right?" You asked.
"Yeah! That's him! I should totally introduce you guys after class! Also... he thinks you're cute." He added with a chuckle.
Your faced flushed a bit at the compliment, unsure of what to say.
Kirishima noticed your awkwardness, "don't worry, you don't have to say anything just yet, let me just introduce you guys!"
You nodded, smiling at his kindness.
Class went by fairly quick, although you couldn't help take a few glances at Denki... and Bakugo. You were trying to figure out why he was so mad at you, and while you were studying him, he scowled at you and flipped you one. You smiled and rolled your eyes at him, flipping him one back, which definitely did not help his distaste in you. You decided on trying to talk to him privately after class, you didn't want to have problems with anyone. You could tell he was usually feisty and riled up, but the way he yelled at you seemed different.
When the bell rang, you stood up and gathered your things as Kirishima and Denki walked over to you.
"Hey, Tanaki! This is Denki." Kirishima introduced.
"Hey!" He flashed you a smile.
"It's nice to meet you!" You said, smiling back.
"We should all have lunch together!" Kirishima stated.
"I'd love that! I just have to do something first, I'll meet you guys in the cafeteria?" You asked.
"Sounds good!" Denki responded, giving you a thumbs up.
You waved to them as you walked out of the class and into the hallway, searching for Bakugo. You found him walking up the stairs and tried to call out to him, but there were so many people surrounding the both of you, he did not hear you.
He continued his walk until he reached a large, heavy door that he promptly opened. You soon realized that it led to the roof. You kept following and walked through the door as well, his head turning toward your direction as he heard the heavy, metal door open and close again.
"What are you doing out here?!" He shouted.
"I... wanted to talk to you." You said, rubbing the back of your neck. You felt a lot more awkward than you thought you would. He was intimidating. Mostly loud, but also intimidating.
"Well, TALK!" He bellowed.
"Have I... or did I... do something to offend you? It seems like whenever I'm around, you get really mad, and if I did something, I want to apologize and make it up to you." You mumbled.
"You won't leave me alone! You're everywhere! And now you're here! You follow me around like a lost puppy!" He yelled.
Okay... so it's just inconvenient timing.
"Okay, well I'm sorry, Bakugo. I'll give you space. Enjoy your lunch." You said, walking back toward the door.
"YEAH, YEAH, SHUT UP!" He screamed in your direction.
You sighed, well, that didn't go as well as planned.
You shook it off and walked to the cafeteria to have lunch with your friends.
When you walked in, you were quickly waved over by Kirishima, Denki, and Mina.
"Hey guys!" You beamed.
"Hey Tanaki!" Denki said.
Mina just rapidly waved and smiled as her face was stuffed to the brim with takoyaki.
As you sat down, Kirishima nudged a plate toward you. "I got you something so you didn't miss lunch!" He grinned.
You thanked him profusely, clinging onto him like a baby koala. Mina was rubbing off on you.
The four of you chatted about everything during lunch. School, classmates, teachers, and hanging out soon. Denki also gave you his number, to which you made his name 'sparkplug ⚡'.
You were beginning to enjoy every second of school, even the boring classes. You were surrounded by people that you were getting closer and closer to everyday. You loved it. You loved having friends.
