As Kay and Alex walked to their classes, Kay accidentally bumped into a girl, making her drop her books

-3rd pov-

"Oh my god, I'm so sorry" Kay quickly apologized as she bent down to pick up the books for the girl

"It's okay, don't apologize," the girl said, Kay looked up and felt a sudden burst of warmth in her

Kay handed the books back to the girl, not breaking eye contact with the girl standing in front of her

"Thank you," she said softly before introducing herself "My name is Lia, nice to meet you"

Kay was in awe "N-nice to meet you, I'm Kay" she stuttered, she had seen many pretty girls before but Lia was just breathtaking

Lia smiled at Kay before looking at Alex who was just staring at her "This is?"

Kay snapped out of her thoughts and was about to speak up but Alex cut her off and introduced herself "Alex...."

-Lia's pov-

I stared at Alex, I didn't trust her, not one bit. She didn't feel human at all, the energy she's radiating is far from human

"Well, it's a pleasure to meet you both," I said as I flashed them a smile "Same goes for us and I'm sorry for bumping into you"

Kay apologized again, I could tell that she felt bad "It's okay, I promise" I reassured her with a gentle smile

She stared at me for a bit before smiling, Alex spoke up, it seemed like she didn't want to be here or that she didn't want me to be here

"Kay, we should get going, we wouldn't want to be late" Kay looked at Alex before looking at me

"It was nice to meet you, I hope we see each other again," she said to me before leaving with Alex

I let out a sigh and watched them walk away, I thought it would be hard to find Niki's mate but I guess that I was wrong

I pulled out my phone and called Jake

*ring ring*

"What took you so long to call back"

I rolled my eyes, I could see him pouting while he said that, I let out a sigh before replying "I'm sorry but I had a class earlier"

"Okay and? I'm more important than that class" he grumbled in annoyance, I let out another sigh "Sorry sorry"

"You better be sorry, I was starting to think that you hate me" Here he goes again with his dramatics

"Babe, I'm starting to think that you're more dramatic than Sunoo" I could hear him gasp and a chuckle in the background

Niki was probably with him, those two are like two peas in a pod

"But besides that....I think I found Niki's mate..."

-3rd pov-

Jake's eyes widened at Lia's words, his gaze flitted over to Niki who was sitting beside him

"You did? Who is she?"

Niki perked up at the mention of his mate, feeling hope stir in him for the first time in a long time

"Her name is Kay and she's really pretty" Lia answered, a smile forming on her lips as she thought of the girl "Definitely Niki's type" she added in a teasing tone

Niki rolled his eyes, used to Lia's teasing

"Alright, alright. But aside from being pretty, what do you know about her? Is she a good person? Is she nice? What are her interests?"

He bombarded Lia with a barrage of questions, wanting to know as much about his mate as possible

Lia knew that Niki would bombard her with questions about his mate

"I just met her today so I don't know her interests or anything but by our first meeting, I can tell that she's a really sweet girl"

Niki listened intently, trying to piece together a picture of his mate based on Lia's descriptions

"Okay, that's good to know. But...she looked totally human, right? No supernatural vibes or anything? You didn't sense any magic or anything weird?"

He asked, raising an eyebrow at Lia as he waited for her answer

Jake let out a small hum at Niki's question

"She's 100% human but..." Lia started, trying to find the right words to say

"But what? Spill it. What did you sense from her?" Niki urged, getting more and more impatient as Lia's hesitation grew

"It's not from her but her friend...." Lia said, she felt like she had seen that girl before but she couldn't put a finger on it

Jake's eyes widened at Lia's words, his gaze flitted over to Niki who was sitting beside him

"You did? Who is she?"

Niki perked up at the mention of his mate, feeling hope stir in him for the first time in a long time

"Her name is Kay and she's really pretty" Lia answered, a smile forming on her lips "Definitely Niki's type" she added in a teasing tone, making Jake let out a chuckle

Niki couldn't help but feel a bit embarrassed at Lia's comment, though he tried to hide it behind a scowl

"Shut it, woman. You're just teasing me because you've become a hopeless romantic too."

He grumbled, crossing his arms over his chest

Jake, however, just grinned at his little brother "Oh come on, I bet you're secretly excited to meet her."

Lia giggled softly as she listened to the brothers "I'll try to find out more about her"

Niki just rolled his eyes at Lia's teasing, but secretly he was excited at the possibility of finally finding his mate

"Try not to be too nosy, woman. Don't scare her away before I have a chance to make a move."

He said lightly, a hint of a smile tugging at his lips

Jake chuckled, shaking his head "I won't" Lia said before ending the call

After the call ended, both Niki and Jake sat in silence for a moment before Jake turned to Niki with a mischievous grin

"So, ready to hunt down your mate and finally get your happily ever after? I can already picture the wedding and the six little gremlins running around."

Niki rolled his eyes at Jake's teasing, though he couldn't hide the slight smile that played on his lips

"Shut up, you idiot. And for your information, I'm not planning on having six kids. Maybe just one or two."

"But you are planning to have kids" Jake teased his little brother with a smug expression

Niki's cheeks reddened slightly at his brother's teasing

"I...I mean...that's not the point." He muttered, rubbing the back of his neck sheepishly

Jake grinned, ruffling Niki's hair affectionally

"I'm just messing with you, little bro. But seriously, I'm happy for you. You finally get to experience true love. I can't wait to meet this Kay and tease her to death."
