Jake called everyone down to the living room for a family meeting

-3rd pov-

"How many family meetings are we going to have?" Sunoo said as he entered the room, it seemed like Jake called at the wrong time

Jake and Niki just stared at Sunoo who had a clay mask on "Skincare time?" Jake asked and Sunoo just gave him the 'What do you think' look

The other brothers came into the room, Jay seemed like he just woke up from a nap and Sunghoon was sweating, probably working out again

"I called at the wrong time, huh," Jake thought to himself while looking at his brothers, Niki still had a pissed-off expression

Niki was getting increasingly frustrated as he waited for his brothers to sit down

He crossed his arms over his chest, leaning back against the wall as he tried to control his anger

He wanted them to get this conversation over and done with, he had more important things to attend to

"Can we hurry up with this already?" He snapped, his voice laced with impatience

Jake let out a sigh and looked at the others, Niki was getting inpatient "We have to let Niki go out" he bluntly said

Niki's eyebrows shot up in surprise, not expecting Jake to just blurt it out like that

He straightened up, pushing himself off the wall as he eyed his brothers

"I don't care if it's breaking rules, Niki's girl is in danger" Jake continues, looking at their brothers to see what they have to say, especially the eldest brother, Heeseung

Heeseung leaned forward in his seat, his eyebrows furrowing as he heard Jake's words

He crossed his arms over his chest, a stern expression on his face "What do you mean she's in danger? Niki, is this true?"

"I had my girlfriend Lia look for Niki's mate, she found her and saw that the girl she's friends with is nonhuman" Jake explained, talking for Niki

Niki nodded in confirmation, adding to Jake's words

"That's right, she's been friends with that creature for years apparently," He said, his eyes flashing with a mix of anger and protectiveness

"We need to do something about this Heeseung. I won't sit by and let something happen to her."

Jungwon let out a sigh before asking a question "Why is a nonhuman friends with a human?"

Niki glanced at Jungwon for a moment before answering

"That's what's got me worried. I don't understand why a creature would want to be friends with someone human"

He admitted, his mind racing with different possibilities

"There has to be a reason for it."

"Maybe it's because of her blood?" Jake spoke up "I mean that's how you got attracted to her"

Niki nodded, his expression darkening even further

"That could be a possibility. I know how tempting her blood can be." He said through gritted teeth

"It's something about the way it smells, it drives me crazy" Niki couldn't help but lick his lips at the thought of tasting her again

"I can only imagine how enticing her blood must be for a creature." Jake looked back at Heeseung, waiting for him to say something
