Ruby POV
"Ruby!" Said Soo Hee as she approached me for a hug.
"Soo Hee. It's so good to see you here" I said.
"Like wise. I thought you won't come"
"Why wouldn't I? GD is my senior in college and we have been friends since then. Of course I won't miss it" I said smiled at her.
"Congratulations for the awards by the way. Well deserved" She said.
"Thank you"
"Hmm.. Where is Leo by the way?" She asked.
"He will come later on. He has some errands to do at the restaurant"
"Look at you living such a perfect life. 2 lovely kids. Successful, supportive husband yet handsome" She whispered the last word and it's making me uncomfortable.
I fake smiled at her.
"I couldn't thank God enough for that"
"May God keep you away from the evil eyes. You know. It's not easy to have a good looking husband like Leo. Not to forget that he's a painter as well. Many women like a painter" She said while winking at me.
Many women by mean is her. I know that she has her eyes on Leo ever since I brought him at the after party years ago. And I hate that I've to pretend to be nice to her to avoid any drama written on media online. Pretty girls don't do drama. And I'm a pretty girl.
"Are you guys talking about me?"
I turned around and saw GD behind me. I felt a relief.
He hugged me and I whispered "thank you" to him which he then nodded.
He knows that Soo Hee and me never really friends. We both just trying to be friendly as much as we could.
I'm at GD gallery exhibition. He's well known photographer in South Korea. He works with many known magazines or sometimes involved in movie as the DOP. I worked with him several times.
"Congratulations on the gallery" Soo Hee said.
"Thank you" He said while shook hands with her.
"Why you guys just standing here? There's drink sections over there" He said.
*ring ring*
I heard my phone is ringing.
"Excuse me. I've to take this" I said.
He nodded and I walked away from them.
"Hi baby. Where are you? I already here. Event already started"
"I'm sorry Hon. There are some problems at the restaurant. I might be late. Is that okay with you?"
I took a deep sigh.
"I see.. But you will come right?"
"I will baby. Let me taking care of this first then I'll go there as soon as possible"
"Alright then I'll wait"
"Okay. Love you"
"Love you too"
Then I hung up the phone.
"I should've bring Suzy along" I mumbled.
I looked around and notice something. This is the same vanue that Leo had his exhibition for the first time along with Rosie. The time where we met again.
