"And is that all for you sir?" I asked the slimmer man who just order three bottles of casamigos to section three, it must've been someone birthday cause bottles have been going to that section all night.

"Yes ma'am" he nodded while taking his black card from his wallet.

"Alrighty, your total is gonna be $1,500.78. I can take your card" he nodded while sliding me his card. I smiled, watching as Kalani was making her way towards the bar. I haven't been able to speak to her all night since she's been booked and busy with her clients. "Thank you, your bottles should be out shortly" I politely smiled at him while handing back his card and receipt.

"My babyyyyyyy!" Kalani smiled big before engulfing me in a hug, "ooh I missed you pumpkin" she placed two kisses on my cheek making them warm up.

"I missed you more, you've been soooo busy" I pouted.

"I know. Family shit, you know. Then the death of zen.. Brax has been kinda out of it so I was tending to my man. Speaking of, how's Montana handling that?"

"I mean.. he's been better. He's taking a positive outlook on the whole thing. He even quit dealing, so that's good. I'm just trying to be there as much as I can"

"On a better note, I'm glad we're all going to New York in the morning! I've never been so I'm excited." She cheesed, changing the topic was smart. I'm real tender about Montana.

"I miss it, hopefully I can get in contact with my grandmother. I haven't seen her since I left" I smiled remembering my Nana Lin. When I was living with my mother in New York she was also living with her mother— well technically her mother was living with her but still. Our bond was amazing, and I would've reached out to her if I could find her. She was never big on technology so she had no instagram or facebook, I never had her mobile number and sadly nor did I have her house number. I tried asking my dad about it but he was never super close to my mother's side of the family so there was only so much information he could give me. I obviously remember the house we used to live in— I'm hoping she still lives there. I plan on stopping there when I get there.

"Oh we're definitely making that a thing, I haven't heard you speak about her in forever" she agreed. We carried our conversation until another of her regulars requested her in a private room, we said our goodbyes as I tended to the customers.

"Sage.." a very familiar but eerie voice came from behind the bar. I looked over seeing the last person I expected to see.

"Baby, you ight?" Montana asked once he figured out I was still up and not sleep.

"Yeah.. just last minute jitters. I hope she's there." I lied unintentionally, it just slipped out my mouth. There was something totally different that occupied my mind but I didn't want to burden him with my personal issues once again.
