With Bain out of the way, Klaus and Jayde felt they could finally relax. Klaus and Derek pitched in some money to get a house inside of Beacon Hills. Klaus also took up a janitor job at the hospital after Scott explained everything to Melissa. Derek on the other hand was earning money helping Braeden track down the Desert Wolf and Omegas here and there.

Liam and Jayde cuddled together on the couch while Jayde's massive Mastiff, Talon, lay on the floor next to the door. Liam sat on the couch with Jayde in his lap as they watched the Vampire Diaries.

"Why am I watching this?" Liam asked making Jayde look at him.

"Because there's nothing else to watch." Jayde replied as she got off Liam's lap. Liam looked at her with a smile as she walked into the kitchen.

"You seem different." Liam spoke as he popped over the back of the couch.

"What do you mean?" Jayde asked as she tossed a piece of bologna in her mouth.

"I don't know. You don't seem scared anymore and you act more grown uppish." Jayde smirked and walked back over to the couch. She sat down on Liam's lap, this time facing him. A smile played on his face as she leaned down and kissed him.

The next day, Jayde stood by the bleachers with her blood pumping as she watched Liam and Hayden, a girl Liam knew in sixth grade, try to one up each other. She growled to herself sensing that Hayden was starting to like Liam and it made her angry. She hid and slowly shifted into her wolf, not listening to the instinct not to do anything.

"There's a wolf on the field!" Someone yelled causing Liam to shoot around. The brown wolf had saliva dripping from her mouth as she raced towards Hayden. Screams erupted as Hayden saw the wolf and began running away from the wolf. Liam knew that Jayde would kill Hayden in front of everyone without a care in the world. He raced towards the wolf until he met her head on and she jumped on him, chomping down on his shoulder. Liam yelled as Jayde shook her head slowly tearing the flesh of his shoulder apart.

Suddenly, shots rang out and a loud whimper was heard as Jade let go of Liam's shoulder and a warm liquid dripped onto Liam's arm. A few more shots rang out and Jayde's wolf moved slightly as she lifted her paw and looked down at Liam as he covered his shoulder with the bite mark on it.

"Jayde." Liam whispered as he felt more of the blood dripping on him.

"No!" Klaus' voice yelled as the wolf started bleeding from her nose. She moved off his body and limped off into the woods as Liam lay there, his shoulder not healing. Klaus was staring at Sheriff Stilinksi as he put his gun away and walked over to Liam.

The wolf continued walking as blood trickled out of the bullet holes and her nose continued to bleed. Finally, she came to a stop in the woods and collapsed onto her side. Memories started to flash through her mind but the one that stuck out was their first time.

Liam lay gently on top of her supporting his weight on his elbows. His hands rested above Jayde's head as her's rested on his sides. Liam pressed his lips to Jayde's lips in a very sweet and passionate kiss. Jayde's grip tightened on her side as the kiss deepened and she felt Liam adjust his hips as he looked down at her.  Jayde nodded her head and sighed as Liam slowly pushed into her. Her head fell back as she gasped, feeling the slight pain as he pulled out and pushed back in. Jayde's hand traveled up his back and wrapped around his shoulders as she held onto him.

"I love you." Liam mumbled as he pulled away and looked down at her.

"I love you too." Jayde replied as she lifted her head to look at Liam. Her hand cupped his cheek as Liam smiled at her and sped up his thrusts.
