Battle (Liam Dunbar)

Chapter Six

Liam woke up and found himself laying on the floor with his feet strapped to a pole. He looked up to see Jayde laying on the table with Patrick standing over her. Liam tried to stand up but the chain stopped him from moving.

"Lover boy's awake." Patrick said, turning around to face Liam.

"What did you do to her?" Liam asked looking up at Patrick.

"I picked up the pieces after you left her." Liam growled as he watched Patrick shove a needle into her neck.

"Stop, don't hurt her." Liam yelled as he watched Jayde start convulsing. Tears formed in his eyes as he realized there was nothing he could do. Suddenly, Liam blacked out.

The next day, Liam walked into school. He knew it wasn't a dream and he knew that he truly did fail Jayde. The person he shared so much with and the person he spent his first time with. Quickly, Liam disappeared into the locker room where he pressed his forehead against the locker. The tears came quickly they poured out of his eyes.

"She talked about you all the time." Klaus said appearing on the bench. He had somehow gotten out. Liam looked up at Klaus who had red, puffy eyes from crying a lot. "Before we came back, she wanted to find you but I told her not too. I told her she was too young to be in love." Liam felt more tears coming as he sat down next to Klaus.

"I failed her." Liam finally spoke up, wiping some of the tears away. Klaus looked up at Liam. "I chose Hayden over her. I love her, I really do but I didn't want to see something happen to her if she killed Hayden."

"I'm not even worthy of being an Alpha anymore. I can't keep any family together."

"I hate to break up the pity party but you two need to come with me." Derek said appearing in the doorway. Liam and Klaus followed him out into the woods. They could smell it, Jayde was close and immediately, both shifted and followed the smell ignoring Derek and Scott telling them not to. They ran through the forest as fast as they could until they reached a sight that had Liam almost filled with anger and excitement. Liam saw Patrick standing there barely clothed with Jayde who only had a blanket over her.

"You sick son of a bitch." Klaus growled as he knew what Patrick had done.

"Now just think about it." Patrick said as he turned to look at Klaus and Liam. "Now that I had my way with her, she'll be the mother of all Alphas." Liam growled and charged at Patrick only to have him hold Liam by the throat against the tree. "You almost ruined that for me." Derek stood by Klaus and Patrick turned to look at him. "She'll be my bitch now." Klaus tried to charge at Patrick but Derek held him back so Liam didn't get hurt.

"Let her go." Scott's voice growled making the group look up to see Scott, Malia, and Kira stood there, coming to Jayde's defense.

"The little pack come to the rescue?" Patrick taunted and turned back to Liam. "I should do it again and make you watch this time." Patrick threw Liam at Derek and Klaus who caught them. He then walked over to Jayde all the while slowly undoing his pants.

"Stop!" Klaus couldn't even breathe as he looked up at the one person they thought was dead.

"Drew!" Patrick growled looking at Klaus and Jayde's father. Drew didn't say a word. He walked towards Patrick half shifted with his fangs out and his red eyes visible. Patrick backed up and seemed to show submission but lowered to his knees almost in fear.

"Get the hell out of Beacon Hills!" Drew ordered with a growl. Patrick nodded and quickly left. Drew turned around and picked up his daughter very carefully as to not scare her or wake her up. Drew then turned back to the others. "Come on."
