Battle (Liam Dunbar)

Chapter Ten

Jayde sat in Klaus' car as she listened for sound of Liam calling for her. She knew this was a bad idea but she followed Liam and his choices. She looked out through the blacked-out window of the truck and let out a deep breath.

"You really let him do this?" Klaus asked. Jayde half smirked.

"Since when did you care about Liam?" Jayde asked.

"I don't, but I know if he gets hurt or dies, then I have to live with you losing somebody you care about." Derek sat in the backseat. Jayde's phone dinged and she looked at it to see that she got a text from Liam.

From Liam Dunbar: I'm good

"See, he's okay." Klaus said.

"In this world, right now nothing is okay for werewolves and supernatural creatures."

To Liam Dunbar: Be careful!!!!!!!!!

Jayde suddenly shot around and immediately charged out of the car, running into the building. She could feel something and ran until she came into the room where Liam and Scott were. But she found them on the ground.

"I told you this was a bad idea." Jayde said as she looked at both of them. She pulled Liam and Scott to their feet. "Something is not right."

"I told you to stay in the car." Liam said.

"Yeah and let you get killed, not likely. You know I can protect myself." Jayde followed Liam and Scott as they ran through the halls. The three of them came up to where Mrs. Finch had been attached by her daughter or what they thought was her daughter.

Scott told Liam to go and Jayde followed behind to make back him up. They went on a trail after Mrs. Finch's daughter. They followed the trail of her into the library. The fear was instant. Jayde's eyes widened when he came around the corner.

"Liam, don't!" Jayde watched as Liam ran at the two only to fly back after Quinn punched him. She watched as the two kissed and then watched as they fought. "Liam, we need to go, now."

"Yes, now!" Lydia said as she appeared in the through the doors. Jayde pulled Liam back and the two followed Lydia as they ran. They ran through the halls until they came to two bodies and met up with Scott and Malia.

"You never listen to me." Jayde said as she and Liam walked into her bedroom.

"You know I had to." Liam replied as he shut the door.

"That doesn't mean I'm okay with it." Jayde sat on the bed and looked up at him. Liam looked down at her. "I've almost lost you so many times. If I lose you, I don't know what'll happen, Liam." Liam held out his hands and pulled Jayde to her feet.

"I'm not going anywhere. You won't lose me." Liam grasped either side of Jayde's face and kissed her. She felt the sparks shooting through her body as she kissed back. Jayde pulled back and pulled her shirt over her head. Liam took his jacket off and then pulled his shirt over his head. Jayde giggled as Liam picked her up and carried her over to her bed. He smiled as they fell onto the bed.

"Why didn't you follow your boyfriend to school?" Klaus asked when he saw Jayde in the kitchen.

"Because I wanna kill everybody in that school." Jayde replied with a slight growl. "My anger is worse than Liam's right now."

"You could use the anger."

"If I go anywhere near someone who is human right now, I'd kill somebody and make the situation worse." Klaus sat down at the table and looked at Jayde. He noticed that her hands were shaking and he knew why.
