Combat training has began for the cadets, after many months of ODM exercises and slicing titan dummies by the necks they all started a new training routine. Reiner was partnered with Umi the one who always with Eren, Mikasa and Armin. "Umi, you ready?" He said and she gave him a thumbs up.

Reiner was running towards her with the wooden knife, she grabbed his wrist and her hand was on his chest. He noticed that she was struggled to push him down due to his heavy weight but eventually she pushed him down and took the knife.

He sat up and saw her walking towards him and held her hand up to him, He got up with Umi help. "You did great, now let's go for an another round." Reiner said putting his hand on her shoulder. She nodded and went back to her position.

Reiner was running towards her again, but his eyes were wide when she grabbed his arm with both hands and threw in the ground but this time she didn't struggle. Reiner groaned in pain as he hit the ground.

   Damn it, she beat me again. She didn't struggle this time, I wonder who taught her those moves.

"Reiner! Are you alright, I didn't hurt you." Umi said walking towards him and helping up on feet "Don't worry about me, I'm okay." He smiled as he was about to get dirt off on his uniform.

"Here let me help you dust your uniform." She started dusting his uniform with her small soft hands. Reiner Froze, his heart began beating and his face was heading up as he felt her hand on his shoulder, he was staring at her as she was still focusing on getting the dirt off of him. "Thank you."

She gave him a smile. "Look like training is over, I'll see you in lunch." She walked away to Mikasa and Sasha and then there was Reiner standing there as he watches her leave.

I'm gonna merry her.

"Hey Reiner, are you okay?" His thoughts was cut off by Bertholdt. Reiner cleared his throat. "Don't worry I'm good."

"Are sure looks like you were staring at someon— you know what never mind. Come let go back to the barracks." Bertholdt said. The two boys went back to the barracks and Chang to their regular clothes

Reiner was at the mess hall along with Eren Armin and Bertholdt he was eating all he could think about was Umi her smile, her sweet calming voice and her brown eyes. His eyes softened when he saw her as Umi was eating her lunch and talking with Mikasa. Her eyes locked in with Reiner's, she gave him a friendly smile and a friendly wave and he blushed as he waved at her back, she went back to her conversation with her friend.

As Reiner finished eating his food he sat up leaving his seat and walked towards her table. He wanted to talk to her and he wanted to get know more, so he decided sit with her.

"What going with him?" Eren said taking a spoonful of his potato soup and looking at Armin and Bertholdt the two of them just shrugged.

"Umi," She quietly turned her head as Reiner called her. "Mind if i sit down with you?"

"Sure." She said patted her seat next to her and Reiner sat next to her. "I'll leave you two alone." Mikasa sat up and went to Eren and Armin table, now it's Just him and Umi.

"Hey, Umi."

"Hm." She turned her head look at him as she still had food in her mouth. "I always wondered who taught how to fight like that." He asked, she swallowed her soup and spoke.

"No one taught me how to fight, back when I was younger I always watch my older sisters and their Lovers sparring together. That I have a good memory of their moves." Umi explained everything to him, and now that she was thinking about it she kinda feels bad for spooking her older sisters, some times Amaya i gets annoyed and when Mai see her Umi walk away.

"Oh, so that's why you beat me." Reiner teased her and nudge her elbow which made her giggle "You could say that." She also teased and gently poking his ribs.

They both continued to talk, Reiner tells her about Bertholdt sleeping position and him and the other alway predicted the weather and made her laugh more, she also told him about her sister's or about how Sasha was eating her pastries in the middle of the night that her sister Aoi made for her and her friends to try. It's was nice for Reiner to talk her even though she was quiet or she was always with Mikasa, he felt more comfortable with her than any girls. Except for Annie but he basically see her as her as friend or comrade.

Umi and Reiner stop talking as they heard the bell rings from outside, Reiner was a little disappointed he wanted to talk to her more but they both got up and picked up their trays.

"Umi, do you want me to take you to your dorm?" He asked and she said yes.

As Reiner walked Umi to the girls barracks, as she was about to go inside but stopped as the door was slightly opened. She turned around to look for Reiner. "Good night Reiner, I'll see tomorrow." She waved him goodbye and went inside.

"Good night." He waved at her a good bye and started walking to the back to the boys barracks. Reiner stopped when he saw Bertholdt and Annie standing.

Shit, what are they doing here.

Annie gave Reiner a stern look which made him a little a bit terrified of her. "Looks like had a great time talking to your little girlfriend." Annie said.

"Umi is not my girlfr—."

"Are sure you," Annie interrupted his sentence. "Look Reiner, if you get too close to her or the others we will have to kill them and if you try hesitate to kill her... I'll beat you up like I did two years ago."

"Annie is right, you're the one who forced us to finish this mission and finding the founding titan." Bertholdt said.

Reiner took deep breath. "You're right you two, this mission comes first, and those devils are not our friends." With that he left leaving Bertholdt and Annie behind.
