𝐀𝐅𝐓𝐄𝐑 𝐓𝐇𝐀𝐓, 𝐓𝐇𝐄𝐘 texted nearly every day. There was never a dull moment between them; they'd talk about whatever was on their minds.

Jasmine always had her phone on her, anticipating the next moment that she'll get a notification from Andrew.

“Are you paying attention to the movie?”

She looked up from her phone. Alexis was staring at her with an eyebrow raised.

She sputtered, “Of course I am!”

“Really? Because it looks to me like you've just been on your phone for the past 30 minutes”

Jasmine sighed, “I'm sorry Lexie, I've just been...”

“Talking to loverboy?”

She bites her lip sheepishly before nodding.

“You guys have been talking non-stop for like 2 weeks now! When are you gonna make a move?”

“Make a- What?!”

Alexis raises her arms incredulously, “You heard me! It's obvious he likes you!”

Shaking her head, Jasmine refuses.

“There's no way. We've just been chatting. We're friends!”

Alexis rolls her eyes and mumbles, “Friends to lovers, maybe.”

Jasmine groans, falling back onto the couch.

“Just hear me out. You two have been spending nearly every second of every day talking to eachother. I believe that he likes you, I really do. But even if I don't know that for certain, I do know that you like him.”

She smiles, “You've never been attatched to someone like this. Not even with Maya. This is the happiest I've seen you because of someone, and you deserve to do something about it.”

Leaning in close, she whispers, “So make a move, Jas.”

Jasmine shook her head, “I just want to take this slow. I'm not sure I can just jump into something new so quickly.”

Alexis’ eyebrows drew together, and her eyes scanned her best friend's face for a few moments. She nods, “That's okay.”

She pulls Jasmine in for hug, “Just promise me you'll do something eventually. You deserve to be happy.”

Jasmine opens her mouth, response at the ready, when her phone starts vibrating.

The pair seperate and look down at her lap.
