𝐀𝐅𝐓𝐄𝐑 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐌𝐎𝐕𝐈𝐄, Andrew offered that she take the bed while he slept on the couch. If you asked her, she would've preferred to sleep on it together, but she wasn't about to risk crossing a boundary.

He led her to his bedroom and waved a hand, motioning to the bed.

“Here it is. I have some more pillows and blankets stored somewhere if you want them.”

“This is perfect, thankyou.”

She moved to the bed and stood in front of it, grazing her fingers against the sheets absentmindedly. She turned to face him again.

“I had a really good time today.” She smiled.

Andrew had moved to the doorframe, and he was leaning against it with his arms crossed. He put his head down trying to hide the huge grin that had spread on his face.

“As did I.”

“I um... My flight back is scheduled for tomorrow night.”

He nods, his mood turning slightly somber at the idea of her leaving.

“Right, yeah... I guess we'll just have to spend as much time together as possible before you leave.”

“I guess so.” She agrees.

The pair stand in silence in the room while staring at eachother. One could say it was as if they were stuck in a trance.

Suddenly, Andrew breaks out of his stupor and shakes his head.

“Right, well, I should let you get some sleep.”

Jasmine chuckles lightly before nodding in agreement. Andrew turns to leave, but stays standing in the doorframe with his back turned to her for a couple of seconds. Then, he faces her once more.

He opens his mouth to say something, then scrunches his eyebrows and shakes his head. Like he wanted to say something important but rescinded it last second.

Instead, he says, “Sleep well, okay? Call me if you need anything.”

Jasmine looks at him with a smile, “I will. Have a nice night.”

He nods at her once more before walking away from the room and closing the door behind him.

Jasmine quietly groans as he places her head in her hands.

That could've been the perfect moment to confess, she tells herself, why didn't you?

She sighs and makes her way to the bed, pulling back the covers and laying down. After turning off the lights she gets comfortable, and slowly drifts off to sleep.

The first thing that Jasmine registers when she wakes up is the faintest smell of bacon in the air.

She pulls the covers off of her and sits up. Right as she's about to get out of bed, the bedroom door opens and she's met with the sight of Andrew in a cooking apron. The apron reads ‘Kiss the cook’ and if she didn't know any better, she would. He's also holding a tray of food in his hands.

“Hey, you're up! I made breakfast.”

Jasmine smiles delightedly, “Breakfast in bed? You are such a gentleman!”

He shrugs, “I try.”

She pats the empty space next to her, motioning for him to sit. He follows suit and takes a seat, placing the tray in front of them.

Jasmine takes in the sight of omelettes, bacon, sausage, hashbrowns, and more.

“Andy, you didn't have to do all this, you know?”
